WOW that's a hard question! If Sir Christopher Lee were still alive then he'd still hold that title of course but now? I dunno. I suppose realistically it's some obscure, badass war veteran but I'm no history buff so I'm in no position to list names in that department. In terms of famous legends then here's a small shortlist
- Sir Michael Caine
- Sir Geoff Hurst (maybe bias as a football fan)
- Sir Ian McKellen
- Dame Judi Dench (I know she's a woman but she's still one of England's leading legends. I'd have also said Dame Barbara Windsor if she were still alive)

Good shout! I was considering him but chose Sir Geoff Hurst over him simply due to the fact that we wouldn't have won the 1966 World Cup Final if it wasn't for his hattrick (a feat still yet to be matched, if of course you think his 2nd goal crossed the line or not but that's another debate). Sir Bobby Charlton did still have the greater overall impact in English football IMO and is still our 2nd leading goal scorer (behind Wayne Rooney, though Rooney's achievement must be marked with an Asterix due to 7 of those being penalties). I just didn't include both as I didn't want to make it too football heavy.
