Got that weed story beat, so I have jury duty they email me a "summons" I'm like great guess missing work.
Go in take everything even remotely weaponizable out of my pockets, still beep they never wand me just keep extracting my wallet phone and watch.
When I stop beeping a very short pat glares at me as says "there's a sign" too which I reply which one.
There is 6-7 feet of signs and warning I was not about to memorize it all before attempting.
I get upstairs to sign in and they say "what you didn't get the email trial resolved you don't need to be here"
Ok so not better but I got someone to read it I bet.

Given the quality of the primary and secondary schools that I went to, I'm ******* surprised that the UK is top.

I'm no education scholar and I haven't looked at any of the underlying data behind this post so I can't question it to harshly. However, I did spend 12-13 years in US public schools and IMO the #2 ranking is highly suspect. There are many American students who achieve great things, but there are also many who get held back by watered down curriculum, structural flaws, etc. It shows in the chronic labor shortages nearly every industry has had in recent years.

On the college level, the US has most of the top schools.  The only other country in the top ten is the UK which is Oxford and Cambridge.  Harvard and sometimes Yale are number 1.
It probably has to do with Western thought and how it is pushed on the world. There is also brain drain that takes many educators from other countries to come to the USA to teach.
Don't forgot, after WWII, the USA pretty much had free reign over many countries and that spread the USA way of thinking even more.

@ gwinCLARKE2019

Part of the reason the USA has the labor shortages is because we PURPOSELY invested in other countries in the 60s and 70s to counter the USSR.  Manufacturing is a perfect example.  We made sure the Japanese were able to produce what they did at the expense of the American worker.  That way, they wouldn't go towards Communism. There are other factors but that is a big one.

Sushi no not a weird oral sex ref

So had sushi in a Japanese restaurant last night, the atmo and service was amazing.
The food seemed fine when I ate, later I felt empty and suffice to say it did not agree with my insides.
I have to say unless maybe you go to Japan, Sushi may be the most over rated under performing food.

New is a relative term - they put it in about four years ago.

The statue had been on the old plinth for over a century IIRC. The revamped one really breaks up the Victorian aesthetic, but I think there was a practical reason for doing it that way.

This vid shows them both, albeit briefly.
