@Chris I'm pretty sure that's a dude.

I don't see how the issue is very complicated. Imagine being so deluded and given to exaggeration of the scope and clout of your celebrity status (as a female athlete nobody gives a **** about no less) that you just waltz into Russia of all places smuggling hash oil completely oblivious to the implications of doing that.

I don't care that this ridiculous woke ***** is freezing her raisins off in a frozen gulag somewhere.

Griner is some American WNBA star, was caught with .7 grams of hash oil in Russia. Now on trial for it.

Brittney Griner is a WNBA (the female version of the NBA) player who was arrested in Russia for having hash oil.

Sidenote: I found this interesting podcast about why so many WNBA players go to Russia during their offseason.

Idk where your link to the podcast goes but WNBA players go overseas because the audience is larger for that version of the sport, during that time of year.

+ most off-season leagues for WNBA are Euro leagues anyways, all the games are hosted overseas for the most part.

@Cheeseball most WNBA players make more on instagram/ only fans, if they chose to go that way.

So going overseas is a must for branding and making enough to live off of.

@Fremen To Gaethje, it’s prize-fighting, so the size of the name matters.  Would love to see MMA become a more legitimate sport, but maybe it would just devolve into point-fighting without performance bonuses.   The PFL model is interesting.  They award more tournament points for a finish.

After losing the title shot (and the way he lost it) the best scenario for Gaethje is a rematch against Poirier (although with the Poirier-Chandler brawl, they are likely to fight the last 2) or a money fight at 170 pounds against McGregor (I doubt it will happen).
Gaethje is coming off a loss and he already faces practically the entire top 5 in the category, it makes a lot of sense for him to fight against someone between Fiziev or Gamrot, but he is exposed to a loss and losing his place in the top 5 and if he wins he doesn't really win nothing more than to maintain his position in the division.
Due to money and ranking issues, fighting Gamrot or Fiziev is not the ideal scenario for Gaethje (even more so that Ali Abdelaziz could get him a good check in a rematch against Poirier or money fight against McGregor).
But if it looks too bad, don't even answer something like: They need to win one more fight or give me the place and time.
Not giving an answer makes Gaethje look very bad, more than likely at some point he will say that nobody wants to sign a fight against him or something similar. And Fiziev and Gamrot if they want to fight him...

Dariush is no longer going to face Islam Makhachev and Islam is more likely to face DoBronx for the vacant title.
Dariush is coming off an injury and it would not be unreasonable for Gaethje-Dariush to meet in November-December.

PS: I'm not opposed to a Dariush-Gaethje matchup: Justin is 2-2 but in championship fights or title eliminators and Benny is coming off a long winning streak that took him to the top 5.

What I don't like are fighters with 2-3-4 losing streaks, calm in the top 5-8, while other fighters have long winning streaks they can't face ranked fighters because the ones above don't accept call-outs.

@Amettxpc

I think they're going to give Volk the title shot first. Who knows though, lightweight matchmaking is really unpredictable. Also Gaethje and Daruish are friends so I assume they would only fight each other for the title or maybe a title eliminator (doubt that will happen).

Volk vs. Charles for the vacant title would be a fantastic fight and with the current events it would make a lot of sense: Volk dominating in the category and without a clear challenger beyond the possible winner between Yair-Ortega or Emmett. DoBronx who is not a champion, but after beating Gaethje he was confirmed as #1 in the category and Dana White promised to give him the title shot in his next fight.
Should Charles decline the title shot to pursue a money fight against McGregor (a possibility that was talked about a lot during fight week). Volk vs. Islam for the vacant title would also make sense.

I had not taken into account Gaethje's friendship with Dariush before thinking about the possible matchup: I think that after a streak of 7 wins and entering the top 5, Dariush deserves a fight that can give him a chance if he wins to a title shot. Also, after losing and having 2 title shots in his last 3 fights I see it unlikely that the UFC will book Gaethje in a title eliminator in his next fight.

Gaethje in my opinion should face Fiziev or Gamrot, looking to defend the spot he has in the division.

Yeah I think this is the perfect time for the Volk to go for double champ status. All they'd have to do is put the winner of Ortega vs Yair in a title eliminator vs Josh Emmett and then boom Volk has time to prepare without messing up the featherweight division. You could even make that hypothetical title eliminator the co-main event of the hypothetical Volkanovski vs Oliviera PPV.

I think crack? Maybe meth, never did them to know the difference 😆.

I found a small metal pipe in a apartment the other day. The bowl part looked tiny and too small for weed. I assume either crack or meth and toss it in the dumpster.
