It's a bit early to assume that. We still don't know what their end goal is. My original theory was that the government wanted to do this to give children a negative experience of the economy (by making it more expensive) in order to create a generation of socialists. Why our current conservative government would want to create the next generation of socialists, I'm not sure. It's 3:30 am and I can't sleep so I'm sure I'll come up with something in this weird sleep deprived yet creative state.

lol Stephen Cadbury doesn't raise the price of Freddo frogs deliberately. The cost of Freddos rises because of inflation broadly. Freddos are made of stuff that is subject to inflationary pressure.

Yup that was something. You had Moreno switching from Spanish to English and then singing all while figgy talked over him with broken English and Portuguese and then you had Ngannou beefing with French media. Was certainly something to behold

I need to vent about these fight cancellations. I am getting so ******* annoyed because this time it’s not even covid. I am so ******* sick of fighters staying healthy and then their fights get cancelled before the ufc can even find a replacement. Like of course movsar pulls out, they find a replacement (which was honestly a more fun fight), and then ilia starts cutting weight and boom doctors say he has a medical issue. They didn’t say what I was for viera but it was also a medical issue, not covid. I genuinely think there’s just a curse on fight fans this year. Literally we can’t go to fight week without several cancellations. If it’s not even covid we’re just ****** at this point. I wouldn’t be surprised if main events start getting canceled down the road

Am i the only one who notices how little coverage mma gets on news, especially sports channels. Surely a massive, rapidly growing sport like mma would be a great topic to cover for sky sports rather than touching upon the ******* northern 4th division in football. Maybe it's just uk television but BT sport is like the only channel that promotes or covers UFC on it and thats cause they have a deal with the UFC. Maybe i'm making a mountain out of a mole hill but i've yet to watch a news channel mention a big fight, instead moving on to some ****** cricket match no one gives a **** about.

It gets promoted a ton in the us I was watching basketball and ufc 270 got a massive promo. Same with Snapchat I was looking through stories and got hit with a 270 ad

Yeah true but still if I’m getting ufc ads on national television (TNT is quite big for all the non-Americans) I’d say it’s getting promoted pretty well
