Yeah I think the biggest move they can do from a money perspective is mcgregor vs chandler. Chandler became a massive draw for hardcores and casuals alike and obviously mcgregor is the biggest draw in the ufc. I don’t necessarily want to see it but I think Nate vs poirier makes sense while Nate waits for mcgregor vs diaz 3. I like RDA vs really just anyone below him and I guess I’d like to see Gregor vs Tony because getting wrestle****** is better than seeing him take excessive blows to the head

I also am praying that Tony vs chandler doesn’t happen because I think chandler would wipe the floor with tiny and I don’t wanna see him get hit by chandler

If Porier isn't bluffing about moving up to 170 then that's the fight to make. It would be a good test to see how can handle bigger opponents.

Yeah I think poirier is in a similar situation to Usman (besides the obvious fact that he’s not champ) where he’s pretty much done everything he needs to do in his career so he should probably just chase 1 or 2 more money fights and then just retire. I don’t think he will win a belt at 155 or 170

That’s fair. But just seeing how badly oliviera beat him post knockdown makes me hesitant. I agree with you that he wouldn’t beat the improved version of gaethje and islam tho. I don’t really think it’s a skill thing but more of a willingness to compete again. It was probably really damaging to him to get dominated in his second (third if u count interim) title shot so maybe he doesn’t see a point in working his way back again. He’s also more than set from headlining 3 ppvs now and would rather just get money fights and retire. He’s not old but he’s been fightinng for a while so I think he’s nearing the end of his career. Not skill wise obviously but just more mentally

It has felt like an inevitability to me that Islam will get that belt for a while now, since I watched him beat Tsaryukyan actually. He might be the most well-rounded fighter in the UFC right now, and I would love nothing more than for Dariush to kick his ass and go win that belt anyways.

It’s my mega unpopular opinion but I think dariush has a much better chance than people are giving him. Beniel is by far the most complete fighter he’s fought and I think that’s just a fact. He’s an established vet, is still in his prime, and has fought legit competition. He’s really aggressive with his striking and hits deceptively hard. His wrestling is pretty good too and he’s gonna have a major bjj advantage over islam (mostly meaning I don’t think Islam will be able to sub him easy like he has his last three opponents). I think one of the key things in this matchup too will be his tdd. It’s a guarantee that islam will take him down/ that this fight will end up playing out mostly on the ground BUT dariush hasn’t been taken down more than 1 time in a fight and has a legit 80% tdd. I think he’s gonna be able to give islam resistance on the takedown front (I know he was able to take down arman pretty easily but dariush has faced some solid grapplers in his own right). Granted his tdd is a little flawed because he hasn’t faced a ridiculous amount of attempts but still. I am worried about beniels cardio as he’s never been 5 rounds and we have seen him gas before but still

Also another unpopular opinion but I just don’t believe the hype about Islam being better than khabib. If he was truly better he wouldn’t have lost a fight or lost rounds in the ufc. I think that’s just rumors and ******** to hype him up. Is he really ******* good? Yeah but people gotta stop it with the same level as khabib stuff

I do infact think Islam is better than Khabib, your reasoning that Khabib has so little round lost is not logical considering who he fought his first 20 or 22 fights. Islam has far better stand up and not much worse wrestling

Khabib left competing when lightweight was becoming the most competitive division. Now people actually think that for example Charles would have chances against Khabib

That's what I do not like about Nurmagomedov. He is not the with this resume, I am sorry. He had atleast 4 or 5 fights left to consider him the goat IMO

2 first rounds of Islam Dariush are probably going to be most competitive Islam ever had to go
