Regarding the chaos in the Wonch/Evans fight it is important to note that Evans tapped Wonch with a choke.
The DQ was for behavior AFTER the fight.
There was a LOT of bad blood and Evans wasn’t responsible for all of it.
But NOTHING excuses Evans double backhanding his opponent like a Frenchman after the fight had been conceded. Also unacceptable was him dropping his shorts and mooning the guy in the crowd he claims spit on him. Also outrageous was him not taking the high road when his opponents coach stormed the ring to confront him. Leaping up on to the table to cheer on the brawl after his opponents fans surged across to confront his fans was surely the final straw.
Evans was rightly disqualified. But only after he tapped his opponent with a choke. It was a great fight and Evans showed tremendous heart rallying back from a tough first round. Two tough guys. One great fight.
Only feelings were hurt after the fight. I hope everyone can move past being offended and be civil in the future.
