He still have a carrer tho because he didn't do anything that bad beside saying the N Word . Both guy were looking for **** and Mike didn't threw the first punch so i don't think it assult but im no Lawyer. People need to stop thinking of the guy as Geratric because he not that Old and he an Adult and can make his own desicion to not be a ****. My final words is compare to the **** Conor and Jones done over the year, Mike Perry wasn;t that bad
P.s Hope Mike perry get mentel help

The fact that he said the N word is inexcusable in my opinion, regardless of the circumstances. As for the assault, obviously I don't know exactly what was said/happened in the lead up to it as the only way to really know that would be by being there, which I wasn't. What I do know however is that Mike is a professional fighter whereas the old man wasn't (even if he was back in the day then he certainly isn't now). Mike should have been able to show restraint and not lash out. Self discipline is just as important an asset to a fighter as being able to throw a solid left hook (obviously being drunk would have been a factor but again, if he had any self discipline then he should have limited himself to only a few drinks or whatever his limit is). He had nothing to prove by punching the old man.
As for his personal problems and his career I agree with you that I would like to see him get help and improve as a person. If he is able to turn his life around, take accountability and show genuine remorse for his past actions, then maybe one day he'd be welcome back. As it stands though, I don't think he deserves a career in MMA, especially when there are so many young and promising fighters that are working really hard for one.

I agree with you that I hope he gets the help he needs to turn his life around but he'll have to get a much better group of people around him before I can see that happening and to be honest, I don't think he's responsible enough to actively seek out those kind of people. Lets hope he does. But first and foremost he needs to do what he can to make amends for all the hurt he's caused to people in the past.

It be a hard long ride but of course I root for anyone, enemy, friend, foe or indifferent to make a positive change. Lots I should be working on my own damn self. For sure.

A wise person once said "The only person I have to be better than is the person I was yesterday". I feel that we should all take this to heart as there is nobody who can't improve themselves in one way or another.
I take inspiration from one of my dad's friends Tony who is a recovering alcoholic. All my memories of him from when I was a child are of him while he was drunk whenever he came to visit. By his own admission he was drinking about 15-20 pints of Ale a day and was bouncing around different jobs all the time. When I was about 16 he had a massive heart attack and at that point he decided to change and now, 5 years on, he no longer drinks, though he has had a few relapses but has been sober for about 9-10 months now. He's such a nice bloke and I'm grateful that I know him and now I consider him one of my own friends rather than just "dad's drunk friend". I always think that if Tony can bring himself back from that then anyone can turn their life around. Let's hope Mike Perry does.

Mike Perry is not a smart man, and probably grew up in a very rough state. Somehow he made it out, fighting only got him so far. Now it's self destruction.
