Alvarez is the best LW in Bellator. He really needs to come over to the UFC, and prove that he is one of the best in the world. Bellator just offers him no real competition.

Chandler seems like one of those prospects with an overwelhming drive to win at all cost. I do like Alvarez and give him credit as an all around better fighter with much more experience, but for some reason... the area above my stairs have mold growth behind the drywall and now it's going to cost me 1100 plus tax to get it all taken care of.

Surprised so few people are taking the underdog bait with Chandler. With his wrestling credentials he is a very live underdog. If I was a betting man, I'd put a few bucks on Chandler.

Too much, too fast for Chandler, imo. I've been following his career closely since his first fight, and I'm a fan of his, but Alvarez is too much for him at this point in his career. I would like to see a rematch a few years down the line though. For that matter I'd like to see him rematch Pitbull as well (I think that fight could go a bit differently without groin kicks).

I've got Alvarez by KO in the 2nd round. IMO, Chandler is a good prospect, but Alvarez hasn't faced a top LW since Shinya Aoki, and that was almost 3 years ago. Roger Huerta is a good LW, but hardly a top LW contender. Pat Curran is good, but again hardly a top contender. I'm almost inclined to believe that Alvarez is fighting on the smaller circuits to keep his legacy alive.

@jaykool Exactly. I can't even begin to explain how much it irritates me to see guys like him getting so much attention for beating the guys he does. You want a true test, come to the UFC and see how you do then.

Agree with you both wholeheartedly, except for the part about Aoki being an elite LW, I could be wrong on Chandler as I'm not super high on him by any means. But right now Alvarez is up there as one of the most overrated guys in the sport. Top 3 and top 5 rankings for him are asinine.
