For God's sake give Justin an easier fight. At this rate he will retire by next year with the style of his and the hard hitters they keep throwing at him. He already said before this was signed he had 5 fights left but by fight 3 he will already have a Liddell chin.

Maybe they're trying to force Gaethje to go back to his wrestling roots lol. But yea, this fight is sad for Gaethje unless he can really work his takedowns in there and/or do enough damage with his leg kicks early to get Al's respect.

This is a very Winnable fight for Gaethje. He lost to Alvarez and Poirier but Al is a step down from them both.

Yep. It seems almost a waste that he has spent a lifetime working on that particular area only to use it in reverse. Imo, if he were to use his grappling early in his fights heavy, then his pressure style would amplified. Imagine spending 5 minutes straight trying to stand up while an All American wrestler is raining down g-n-p. Then the next round all you're thinking about is not getting taken down, and he starts walking you down and just kicking your leg and landing bombs. I can't say for certain because I have never had a pro fight, but that seems to me to be a recipe for a future champion.
