I think it's going to be one of Eminem's best albums in awhile (can't wait for that Kendrick joint 'Love Game') but I don't think it sniffs the top 5 best rap albums of 2013.
1A. Nothing Was the Same by Drake
1B. My Name is My Name by Pusha T
3. Doris by Earl Sweatshirt
4. Old by Danny Brown
5. Yeezus by Kanye West
I HIGHLY doubt the album beats Run the Jewels (by Killer Mike and El-P), Twelve Reasons to Die (Ghostface Killah), Statik Skeletah's Extended Play or Acid Rap (by Chance the Rapper).
This has been an amazing year for rap and Eminem gets to be a part of that but I think the album itself is going to be, at best, at the third tier with Long.Live.A$AP/Born Sinner/Albert Einstein/SAAB Stories and just above Mac Miller's CD (but I tend to give that album more credit than it deserves because it shows the pure effort that Mac Miller puts into bettering himself; I don't like Miller in terms of his actual music but as a musician, more artists have to be like him).
However, I would be surprised if it ends up being like Magna Carta Holy Fail. With a song like "Rap God" and a track shared with Kendrick, the minimum this album could be is better than that ****.
Holy **** I just noticed that the most talked about rapper of the entire year hasn't released an album. All Hail King Kendrick.

And yes I actually do like the music, I have almost 3 full playlists on Youtube which is almost 600 songs. If you don't like then you don't like it, no big deal. Either you get it or you dont.
Also never thought I would see Drake at the top of any of Anik's lists in a positive way haha

And you keep saying MMLP 2 will be amazing and AOTY....but Eminem has Kendrick on a song, just as Jay Z did with a young Em. And the young pup Kendrick is gonna make his mark and Renegade Em.
Marshall might have to rewrite his ****...

I mean his album is amazing, but **** Wheelchair Jimmy anyway.
@trevpicks ... by god. You really don't know anything about what's happening in the rap world do you? You're too old, you might as well be rocking your chair next to wolf's in the asylum.
Literally ask every single hip-hop media personality who the biggest rapper of the year is and I guarantee a unanimous vote for Kendrick Lamar.
Eminem...getthe****outtahere (which looks like a name of a Jay song from Holy Fail actually...). 'Rap God' is ******* great but even then, it's not one of the top 3 verses this year (again, unanimous vote for Kendrick's 'Control'). trevpicks is on that teenage middle class whiteboy **** with his love for Eminem...guy probably jacked off to Recovery.
Which, by the way, is a **** album.
God, I wish I could give Eminem as much credit as he deserves but each time I confront one of his god awful obnoxious fans that shed tears for Recovery and I just feel like ****ting on the guy.
@Swickotine I would go as far out to say that MCHF is the biggest disappointment of the year, what with "the Ad" and everything and the album still being ****. You're right, "Control" is no-contest, the most important moment in rap music in God knows how long.
Charlemagne tha God said it best, because of "Control" people are gonna remember rap history using the terms BK and AK...Before Kendrick and After Kendrick.
EDIT: @Swickotine I think Eminem's smart enough to not start a verse-by-verse battle against Kendrick on a song; I think the song's gonna have Kendrick singing the hook only tbh (think J. Cole's smart decision with "Forbidden Fruit").
@Live2wrestle Only thing memorable about Holy Fail is ****-Z in Somewhereinamerica...twerk Miley,
