205 probably the most stacked division.  LW is up there as well but any ways it just seems like anyone of the top 5 guys could be champ at any time hence why the belt keeps changing hands the way that it does.
how ever even though rampage just got walked over i personally think that he is the next best thing.  i think if he fought rashad again and in shape this time like in his fight against machida that he would have KO'd rashad.
and i know a lot of you ill say machida is but athough i think that Mashida will probably give bones the toughest time of them all, i think that other guys in the div can still beat him.  rampage already proved he can,   i think that if rashad used his wrestling and didn't try to stand up with machida this time that he would.  and clearly shogun has his number as he already beat him twice. thoughts?!?

Believe it or not.. I think Hendo has the best shot to beat Jones, considering he is hard to take down.. has a granite chin.. and throws huge bombs. ( And he knocks out a ton of people, unlike Rampage Recently. )

i'm personally not writing off machid, how ever i am saying that although he's a threat to anyone not named shogun (ok even shogun) that i've never been impressed with him enough to believe in this so called "machida era"   i still think that every one believed that hype based on the fact that anderson silva said that machida was better then him.  they were all looking at how good anderson and then saying "if this guy fights like that and is this good then wow look out..."  even in saying that i think that anderson was just being modest.  as he did so many other times and with other fighters.  if you look at the post fight press conference for UFC 126 you'll see anderson say that noone has beat him up as much as shogun and then you'll see shogun get all embarrassed and basically say that anderson is lying. Anderson > machida      jones> machida      jones <---->  silva would depend on where it went down.

Number 2 is definately Rashad. He has enough tools to beat Jones. But a close 3rd is Machida for sure. His elusive style is perfect for Jones striking ability and I think he could really frustrate him if they fought. But also dont forget about Phil Davis. Hes a sick wrester. Call me crazy but I think if they fought within the next year Davis would have a pretty big chance at beating Jones.

@mikelovestaco's i'm sorry but i can't see phil davis touching jones in any way shape or form EVER phil in a year will be where jones was 3 years ago and so on.  he has wrestling yes but nothing to set up the TD's with.  i think we can all agree that phil's stand up in his last fight looked less then sub-par.

i used to think Hendo would be a good match with his greco but let's face it i used more greco just saying it in this thread then he has in his last 5 fights combined.  would be interesting only because it's hendo and jones who are both exciting.  i'd have to take jones by about 12" of reach thoguh.

Right now, I think that the LHW ranks are pretty easy right now.

1. Jon Jones

2. Rashad Evans

3. Shogun

4. Rampage

5. Machida

6. Hendo

7. Phil Davis

8 - 20 is all a matter of opinion, but some honorable mentions in no particular order are Rafael Cavalcante, Thiago Silva, Forrest Griffin, Stefan Bonnar, King Mo, Gegard Mousasi, Rich Franklin, Alexander Gustafsson, Minotoro, Matt Hamill, Tito Ortiz, Ryan Bader, Stanislov Nedkov,

I noticed a couple people say the champ isn't always #1 that may have been true back in 2006 or so when Pride did GP events with non title fights, but now we are at a point where the UFC champion is absolutely #1 in each division. The UFC champion has the toughest fihht schedule of any fighter in the world.

Honestly I laughed a little at the Rashad face.
