Tai has never been out of the 1st round and with his physique he gets it done early or it's probably a loss. Andrei's new style + grappling + speed gives him the edge imo, but dat 1st round tho.

Big fan of Tuivasa but it will be sad to see him punch a hole in Arlovski's face here.

I wrote Arlovski off in his Strikeforce days, I wrote him off when he returned to the UFC, I wrote him off on his 5 fight losing streak and the Belarussian bastard just won't die! I'm still not all in Tuivasa and Arlovski is so experienced. Really fascinated by this fight.

Pretty much true in all his bouts. The one thing that has improved as he has gotten older has been his keeping his hands up. But hands up or not the athleticism of Tuivasa is insane for such a big dude. All the defensive improvements in the world are not going to stop the inevitable Arlovski looking up at the ceiling wondering why everyone is standing around in his bedroom. First round TKO

i've always thought andrei's glass chin was a myth, only real power punchers are gonna catch him, but i think tai might be that despite a lack of meaningful opponents.

Yea the first round is the real question. I don't think Tai has very good cardio and Andrei has faced hard hitters his whole career. If he can go the distance with Tybura and beat Albini and Struve in recent fights then I'm sure his grappling advantage and experience will take over down the stretch. Initially picked Tai, but think I may switch to Andrei before fight night.

I know people like Tai Tuivasa, but this bout shouldn't be on the Main Card.
It should switch places with Overeem vs Blaydes.
Tai knocking out Andrei in the first isn't as meaningful as Blaydes beating Overeem. We already know Tai can knock out people early and Andrei Arlovski has been knocked out many times in the past, whereas Blaydes's bread and butter is his wrestling and Overeem has the ability to keep the fight standing with high takedown defence rate.
Also, if you compare Blaydes's recent wins with Tuivasa's, you WILL notice that Blaydes has beaten much tougher competition than Tuivasa has.
