Cung Le is a monster but Belfort is simply the Phenom and he will destroy Cung Le here to get back into contention and will probably face the loser of Sonnen and Stann

Everyone picked knockout so far. Belfort is going to knock him out viciously and quickly.

Le's gonna be smart and chop Vitor's legs down.  Then finish with a headkick that will send Vitor's cranium into orbit.

i think le can make it to the second round. he will be bouncing all over the octagon. he will hit and run with those leg kicks but belfort will land perfect strike to the face for the knockout in mid second round.

I hope Le will try a front kick to the face!
But seriously, I think Belfort wins this by being too fast and accurate. KO round 1 or 2.

Picking Cung Le by not being as flashy and actually taking this fight seriously.

That might be a good point xbassistdoodx.  Cung Le is so talented, he's clearly been able to phone in a few fights in his career, and still came out looking impressive, albeit against lesser competition than Belfort.

Cung will probably show up to this fight more prepared than we've ever seen him.

Right now, I'm sticking with Belfort, but I might switch once the prefight interviews start coming out.

Nice assessment @Alias,

I've been a Le fan for a long time, and just about exploded with excitement when I heard the UFC was giving him a fight, and against a upper-tier opponent.

So I've watched his old Sanshou videos and his MMA fights as well as some martial arts demo's he's done, and the guy is the real deal. A fluke knockout loss to Scott Smith is nothing to be ashamed of, especially after the revenge he got. If he stays serious in this fight instead of treating it like a movie set, he could knock Vitor out cold.

Cung Lost to Scott Smith in their first fight, thats a good indication that Vitor will cream Cung.... Vitor is just too fast and he finishes...once ur rocked by him you r done... No one can recover from his punches. Vitor also has the experience and level of competition in his favor too.  Cung Le too inexperienced at this point. KO BELFORT 1ST ROUND

I want to find a way to justify picking Cung Le but I can't right now.  I have been watching Le for a long time now, including part of his san shou career and his K-1 run, along with a couple of his Shidokan bouts.  He's a very gifted athlete, but I just think that Vitor Belfort is too much for him at this point in his career.  If Cung had dedicated to developing his MMA skills and experience, then he might be prepared to take on the likes of Belfort, but coming off of a long layoff from the sport and taking on one of the best out there is hardly a good decision.

I would much rather have seen Le go against someone along the lines of KJ Noons, Nick Thompson, hell even Robbie Lawler.  Lawler being at the upper level of his considered opponents.  You've got to give him tougher competition at a gradual level.  While I hope that Le finds a way to win this fight, I don't see it happening.

Belfort will take this.  Right now i have it in the second but it depends on the weighins really.  If belfort looks as much bigger as i think he will ill switch to the first.

If Cung Le can slow down Vitor's pace then he has a shot.  Especially if he can time the spinning back kick and his illusive striking.  If Vitor comes out like the one who fought Akiyama and swarms Le, then he will knock him out.  Le has a chance, but I'm going with Vitor Belfort.
