Mir vs. Nogueira II

I don't hate Big Nog at all, in fact I'm a very big fan of his, as well as Frank Mir, but you have two fighters that have relatively a similiar style. Both are BJJ fighters with good boxing. In the stand-up, I think Mir has the advantage, and on the ground Nog has the advantage. Against Roy Nelson, Mir was very tough to takedown, so I don't think that Nog will get Mir to the ground.

In his fight with Schaub, Nog had good striking, but he did get caught and rocked with a punch by Schaub. Mir will not make the same mistakes that Schuab did. In the PRIDE days, I would've given the complete nod to Nog, and I really would like to see him win, but I think that Mir's striking is a step above Nog's.

I really do like both fighters, and I woul d love to see Nog get his revenge, but at this point in his career, I just don't see it happening

@jaykool, my comment wasn't about you. I don't hold picking Mir against anyone (most people will, he will be the favorite). I was talking about k1shields and company. Apparently it's trendy to hate on Nog nowadays. 

I think mirs chin is suspect at best, and nog is improving his standup everyday

We can ask schaub how hard nog hits...

@ jersey5025 - and we can ask Nelson and Kongo how hard Mir hits, throws, and how tight his chokes are.

@ minotauro11 - no offense taken, and I wasn't sure if it was directed at me or anybody else on here, but I just wanted to clarify why I was picking Mir on this fight. It's actually a very tough fight for me to pick because I really do like both fighters, and I've been a fan of both of them for many years. For me, it just seems that at this point in both of their careers all things point to Mir in this fight. If it were the PRIDE days, totally different story.

As stated before, i love mir! But i dont think he beats nog twice

I see a Nog TKO. No im not a 'new' MMA fan who thinks just cause Nog knocked out Brendan Schaub he is some crazy sick striker lol. I just think that really boosted Nog's confidence and he will look for another impressive finish. I just dont think Mir will beat Nog twice. Whether Nog does it by a KO, TKO, Sub, or DEC. I dont care, I just have a good feeling Nog will be walking out of Toronto with a win. I live in Toronto. Attended UFC 129 and I plan on attending 140. Big Nog fan and would love to see him and KSos fight live!

Mir is a better tactician... tactics typically beat skill

Mirs a really bad matchup for Nog

I do think Nog wasn't 100% in the first fight, that being said the second fight should be much more competitive, but still Mir's fight to lose. I'd say Mir by decision but will not be shocked to see him get tko'd by Nog.

I'm praying for Nog, but I think Mir takes this one via TKO very late in the match.

I'm hoping we get to see an epic grappling battle this time around.

I think this will be more competitive than their first bout, but I also have Mir by a late TKO or a Decision.

Couldn't care less for any fight with Mir. He got really boring recently. He will win but he is fighting not to loose.

This will be just as one sided as the first time, NOG has shown no improvement in his head movement and will be KO'd again.

I'd love to see Nog get the win, but I think that Mir just has a style that has Nog's number.

Im exited for this fight, Its gonna be sick seeing it live. Tickets came in the mail yesterday! So pumped.

I have to go with Nog simply because hes a favorite of mine and I absolutely cant stand Mir.

I'd like to see Nog get his revenge here, but I also have Mir on my fantasy team so I won't be mad if he wins
