I'm not even a little surprised. I would be more surprised to find out that a fighter was clean his entire career vs using substances at some point. Although I think with USADA, the UFC has cleaned up. IMO, there will be a trickle down to fighters starting out because the perceived need to use to compete at the highest level won't be there.

This might actually work out in N'Gannou's best interest. Think about it. Of the top 5 contenders of the HW division only N'Gannou and Cain are the only 2 to not have a crack at Miocic. And right now Miocic needs a challenger. And Cain has only fought 2x since 2015. UFC 216 or 218 could use a nice Main Event. So my guess is once Miocic gets his contract dispute under control that's the fight I see them making.

I think it was a good road for many reasons.If you figure he fought JDS then got a title shot that's still another year or so of improvements which would be huge since the guys only been fighting for 3 or so years.I like to see guys built up a little and I really liked this avenue for him to get his name out with casuals and a JDS win would be huge for him.Also if they schedule Cain vs Stipe I hope they can find a way to get N'Gannou on the card too just in case.Just any top ten guy so he can be back up if someone pulls out.
