I actually like sonnen's smack talk but if they ever fight again i think for the first time in a long time silva would close the distance fast and just lay a beatdown on sonnen. he would not wait to be taken down. usually andy likes to "time" most of his opponents but i think he would be on the offensive right from the get -go of this fight when or if it happens. your thoughts?

@thiagosilva I'm with you bro. I think Sonnen would finish what he started at UFC 117. What people don't realize is that their boy Anderson Silva has a weakness and it's called fighting wrestlers. He's fought 2 really good wrestlers. Hendo who won the 1st round of that fight but Hendo doesn't use his wrestling so I'm not sure you can even count him. Then Chael who does use his great wrestling and look what happened. That's it for Silva fighting wrestlers. Also Chael gets highly underestimated on the feet. As I recall Chael rocked Silva a couple times on the feet.

@p4p, the way Chael and Hendo did well is by never letting Anderson rest.  Okami let Anderson find his rhythm.  Chael won't

Exactly... The 1st round for Anderson is a feeling out process as Kenny said .. Chael wont let it be..

The X factor in all of Silva's fights is himself. It always comes down to which Anderson shows up. If P4P king shows up then virtually no one can beat him. But if the guy from September 2009 till August 2011 shows up anything can happen.

I'm most likely going to get a lot of haters for posting this but, silva has an act for making fighters think they're winning, only to embarrass the crap out of them. I believe he faked the entire fight with sonnen in order to pull of one of the "greatest submissions of all time" This was an attempt to get his fanbase back and he did, after his sorry performance with maia, toying around with him. Damn anderson, you're just screwing with everyone.

Anyone who actually thinks silva had a hard time with sonnen is a fool. Look at silvas face compared to sonnens, look at sonnens record, losing to maia in the first round? LOL sonnen is a joke, he won't even get passed stann or belfort, MARK MY WORDS.

@delrose.. Saying Sonnen is a joke is a bit extreme he beat the living **** out of the champ for 24 mins and earned the title shot with good wins..

I was very sceptical about the rib injury during the first sonnen fight but after what Anderson did to Okami, I strongly believe a 100% healthy anderson will destroy sonnen with no problem

I don't think Anderson will DESTROY Chael.

Beat him again? Probably. But nowhere near destroy.

Sonnen is certainly no joke, but Silva won't fart about with him again, he'd want to make a statement and he's good at those.
