So Woodley earned a title shot by sitting on his ass for a year plus and not taking a fight, but Condit doesn't get another title shot after taking Lawler to the limit in a five round fight and Wonderboy doesn't get a title shot after starching Johny Hendricks in round 1? Yeah, **** this fight.

At this point I'm theorizing they made this fight because they know 201 is going to suck and don't feel like putting a good fight on the card. Hope Lawler KOs Woodley early somehow.

I have become more and more disinterested in the UFC and the moves they make. This pretty much put the nail on the coffin for me. They had a clear right choose to make with Condit and they made a very wrong choice with Woodly.

woodley earned the title shot. As much as you'd like to act like it didnt happen woodley tko'd condit. even if it was due to injury. he stopped condit. Condit gets ufc title shots for wiping his a$$. i'm sure if he doesnt retire he gets an immediate one or another one after 1 win like he always does. Woodley earned his shot. got passed up and then waited until tbey gave him.his earned shot. Simple as that.

A: Because he arguably beat a dehydrated fat Gastelum and beat Dong who is about top 12 at the time.

B: Lost to MacDonald in a complete outclassing, and MacDonald got beat by Lawler twice.

C: Got graced by the MMA Gods with an Injured Condit

D; Beat up an old ass Josh Koscheck

E: and Lost against Jake Shields. JAKE SHIELDS!

F: Ohh yeah hasn't fought in almost a year and a half

G: He did have a shot to get into title contention earlier by fighting Hector Lombard AND you know what Woodley said, "Nahh, I'm good."

Yep sounds like title shot material.

I know I will not make some fans by telling this but... Condit was 2-3 on his last 5 when he got is title shot and his last victory was again Thiago Alves. Hard to say that he deserve it more then Woodley did...

Anyway UFC make a promise to Woodley after Hendrick dont make the weight so now they will respect it. After that Woodley will return fighting guys the like of Magny, Laflare, Brown, Maia and we can have Thompson-Lawler!

@SlongKong Woodley got a lucky break against Condit. Then he got his ass handed to him by MacDonald and only amassed ONE impressive win against Dong Hyun Kim. And then, after he beat a dehydrated Gastelum, he sat on his ass for a year. AN ENTIRE YEAR. And didn't take a fight against someone in the top ten when Hendricks missed weight to prove that he has earned a shot. So no, Woodley didn't earn his title shot. Having an almost two year old win over a fighter in the top 10 shouldn't give you a shot at the belt.
