"Within minutes of the opening bell, an awkward movement and pivot twisted Joes knee in just the right angle to cause a patella dislocation, his knee cap popped out of the groove that keeps it tracking properly on the thigh bone. There was a loud audible crack causing his opponent, in a great show of respect and sportsmanship, to ask if he was OK."
His team will try rehab for Olympic team trials in April
"With Joe's secondary goal to make one last attempt to make the US Olympic Wrestling team later this month in Iowa in the balance, we worked with physical therapy techniques to reduce swelling and limit the inflammation around his knee cap right away that night and again the next morning. With ice, compression, and ultrasound, we were able to achieve full range of motion and get his quadriceps to contract again by Sunday. We will continue to treat his injury aggressively and hope to have him on a stationary bike by week's end, pending the results from an MRI. Stay tuned to see if we can get Joe back and be able to wrestle in the Olympic Trials later this month."
They also mention that Joe will be back in MMA and wants a rematch with Darrion Caldwell.

Still he became greco world champ in his post 20s (prime wrestling years, a feat like that is legendary in its self ... as far as I remember he's last USA greco world champion ? Praise Warren
