What do you guys think? Is there a big # of guys using PEDs since they know when they're getting tested every time?

85-95% sounds like a bit much. It's possible I guess, but that sounds too high..

I think it is completely irresponsible for him to make those allegations using a public forum (interview) to do so.

My view on PEDs...either make them legal or random tests and you fail once you're done for good

i couldn't agree more with Kalibo

especially for him to say...

"I would definitely say somewhere in the percentage of 85 percent of guys are definitely using..."

'definitely' is a strong word, without any proof it's just his opinion, one which he's entitled to but could of/should of expressed it differently.

My guess he is probably right, just look at baseball till they cracked down on that, PED's can be a huge number of things not just steriods, thats performance enhancing drugs, do they even test for human growth hormones in the UFC? They dont yet in the NFL, there are many drugs that are even untestable also, as soon as they figure out ways of testing for a PED more surface,I think 85% may look huge but it isnt out of the question imo.

i'm not saying he's not right or that 85% is high, he actually goes on to say 95-96% but all the figures aside, without facts it's all speculation and personal opinions...

@r1 I changed it based on a somewhat heated and ultimately silly debate but it really does hold true to so many other things that come up in forums on a regular basis.

As for peds I hope those that use are doing so responsibly and to speed recovery from injuries not to get to a point where they will kill someone.  Yes i know that is likely not the case and its arguable that any use is irresponsible but hey im trying to be optimistic.

I really hope hes wrong with that percentage. It kills me to think that the sport we all love is overrun with cheaters. I personally have zero respect for guys who need to bend or break the rules in mma.

It is terrible for the sport when fighters come out and say things like this with nothing else to back it up.  Negative attention isn't something we need, especially with the UFC trying hard to make testing as effective as possible.  I don't for a second believe the % is that high and I'm going to guess there is going to be a lot of pissed off fighters gunning for him now.

If the guy you're about to fight might be doing it and not getting caught, why wouldn't you? Morals? haha these men have careers, bodies, families. I wouldn't be too shocked if more than half the guys are taking something to get an edge.

Im thinking hes right, I would take PEDs if I knew I could get away with it, my opinion on PEDs is that if they make fighters and athletes better at what they do why not let everyone take them, I wouldnt mind sports being more exciting

I have no way of knowing so I wouldn't make a statement like that. But I wouldn't be surprised if the number was high because of the lack of random testing. You're not serious about catching cheaters unless you have random testing. In the real world it is about winning and doing what you need to do (or think you need) to win. Ruthlessness. Make it, take it.

I think K-SOS is probably speaking from experience. To me I don't really care who's on them and who's not. I think as an adult it's your decision on whether or not you want to do that to your body. If everyone is doing it then it's back to even anyways.

If K-Sos is right, I kind of view it the same way as professional cycling a couple years ago when everyone was blood doping. When Lance won 7 in a row, I don't care if he was doping, he was still beating people who were also doping. The playing field was even.

Its just like Chael Sonnen, As a cheaters mentality, you're only cheating if you get Caught. Sad, but yet soo true.
