Twitter is going nuts about it. Supposed to be an announcement next week.

Helwani is throwing water on it already, but could be that they want to make a surprise announcement ... could be that it's another in a long string of false alarms.

As is common these days, it doesn't seem like GSP and the UFC brass have a good relationship.

I will believe it when I see him step into the cage. Even if he is returning, I wouldn't want him getting injured.

Who will he fight? I can't really think of a match-up for him that excites me all that much.

The UFC are big at unifying their linear titles. I would imagine they'd want him to fight Lawler. But perhaps we'd see him fight Benson Henderson or finally against Anderson Silva.

If he does come back for UFC 200, I think Lawler is the fight.

GSP vs Lawler, GSP vs Benson, GSP vs Anderson...All seem like fairly stale fights honestly.

He's the most dominant champion in history to never test dirty. If he comes back Lawler is the only fight that makes sense.

I guess I could see them doing the Anderson fight though if GSP doesn't want a title fight off the bat.

Bendo seems like a random choice.

@AnAlias: Bendo has the pedigree. He's a former UFC champion and basically headlines every UFC card he's fought on since challenging for the LW title. Plus he now fights in the WW division.

If GSP wants to fight only at WW, but doesn't want to challenge for the belt straightaway, a fight between Benson and GSP makes logical sense; not a random choice.

Personally I hope he does not come back because I think Carlos Condit deserves a rematch against Robbie and that would spoil that.

Not me, I think Carlos Condit vs Robbie Lawler 2 will be a much better fight. Honestly Lawler vs GSP has very high likely hood to be boring. I also dont think Robbie matches up well with GSP at all, if GSP is still at his prime. In fact that could turn out to be just GSP repeatedly taking Lawler down and then not being able to do much with it out side control lawler.   I feel like this would be either a boring fight or a sad fight because GSP might show up as a shell, though I find that unlikely.

If GSP does come back to fight Lawler, give Condit the winner of Hendricks/Wonderboy for the next shot.

IDGAF if GSP vs Silva is 5 years late. I want to see that fight just because of how legendary the walkouts and announcing would be. I could care less if the fight ended up being ****. Just the fact that those two walking legends fighting in the octagon gives me jitters.

Since Anderson is fighting in late March, that might not happen.
