Fighting was not for him, but from what I heard he was a genuinely good person outside of it.
On a random note according to a story I once read he wasn't really 616 for his UFC bout, but around 660. He just didn't want them to announce it, because he thought it would make him sound fat, so he asked them to just make up a smaller number.
