I dont know man he's already skinny and long at lightweight. but if he could make 145 would be much better weight for him!

Tough to watch a guy I really like lose so bad last night. I think he needs to round out his game, I think he needs to work on wrestling and even his standup a bit.

he needs to hit the weight room. although it probably would screw up his speed. 145 is an easier division. when florian losses to aldo he could fight oliviera. that would be a good matchup if he dropped a weight class.

do bronx is smaller than edgar, and EVERYONE has said frankie needs to lose weight...until he won the belt...if do bronx is gonna stay at 155, he needs better TDD..because ALL the top lightweight are great wrestlers : bendo,guida, guillard, edgar, maynard

The kid has a lot of talent, but hes gonna get bullied if he stays at LW. Gonna be a bit tough for him to cut to 145 since hes very skinny and doesnt have much muscle as it is. If i was his camp id try the cut, then have him simulate a few fights in the gym just to see how his body reacts.

He's young and can grow into his frame, but whether he's at FW or LW the blueprint has been laid on how to beat him. Any aggressive striker who decent wrestling is going to bully him from here on out. He could very well be the new aged "david terrell" after the beating Evan Tanner gave him....

Na, he's definitely read for UFC just not the top of the weight-class at 55, he can cut down and be better at 45.

Oliveira doesn't need better TDD, in my opinion. His ground game is so good and aggressive almost no one can win from the top against him. He needs better takedowns and smarter stand up. He is also going to be outsized against most lightweights, and although I'd give him a better shot against Edgar or Maynard than Aldo, I think he should drop to 45.

@bassist, he might not be ready for the top guys yet but submitting Darren Elkins, Efrain Escudero and Nik Lentz (despite the knee, he would have subbed him eventually anyways) proves he's good enough for the UFC.

145 wouldn't be a hard cut for him at all, and I think he would be a serious threat at 145.
