I couldn't see Manny winning more than three rounds personally. Went pretty much how I figured it would.

That felt flat like Anderson Silva vs. Nick Diaz.

@Jeremy He has to say that so he can stir up some interest in what will be an even more underwhelming rematch. A rematch that I will refuse to pay for or even want to see.

So Manny Pacquiao says that he thought he was winning the fight clearly, which was why he stepped off the gas in the later rounds.
Really?
Really?
Floyd Mayweather is the greatest boxer of this generation.

Shocked that people thought Pacquiao won. I think Floyd won by a good margin. I disagree with the judges scores, I think those are crazy margins, but I still fully expected a rather clear UD. Also, Pacquiao in the post-fight interview acting surprised that Floyd relied heavily on movement. Like he expected him to be flat-footed. No. People complaining about the way Floyd fought have clearly never watched Floyd fight. I enjoyed the fight, but still.

@grizzlyedwin I thought of it more like when Rampage vs Evans fell completely flat.

@Anik At least Pacquiao was putting in an effort. Floyd was half assing it the entire fight, not putting any effort to score a knockdown. Floyd may have the record worthy of being crowned the best boxer of this generation, but he is also (in my opinion) the undisputed most boring boxer I have ever seen fight.

I also see people all over twitter complaning about how Floyd is all defense and should be more aggressive. Disagree completely. I dont think he should have to in a fight like that. Manny landed like 20% of his strikes. He was throwing alot, and landing nothing. He wasn't even cutting Floyd off or anything. He was just coming straight forward against one of the best defensive fighters ever. Floyd had no reason to be too offensive.

@MikeLovesTacosXD I don't think anyone will argue that Floyd didn't implement a winning strategy. Floyd did fight smart by out maneuvering Pacquiao's flurries and timed his counter punches perfectly. The problem is that as consumers (or in my case, being a cheap prude by streaming the fight), for the price they charged for that fight on PPV should have been indicative of an exciting 12 round fight. And as far the entertainment value of that fight goes, I give it nothing more and nothing less than a...

Fight was good, not the best but good enough. Mayweather is a complete ass hat but he is amazing to watch. Best part about this is MMA fans outing themselves as insecure teenagers.....again.

if you've seen one Mayweather fight you've seen them all, I didn't expected much of this fight, I think Pac fought better but got tired, while he had gas he made Floyd his *****, but this is not a 7 round sport so he should have prepared better, fight was meh as expected, Floyd running, bending, grabbing, punching behind the neck pushing Pac's head down, holding, you know all of Floyd usual "techniques" he has a hell of a defense and counter, but he must be one of the most boring fighters I've seen in boxing.
this fight just helped to remind me that box is not dead, but it's agonizing. And that MMA is a superior sport in a lot of ways.
