Lets hear about some good prospects...

I'll start with 2 I think could be contenders and maybe Champions in the UFC at 145 lbs and 155 lbs.  One has had 4 pro fights and one has had 8 pro fights...but they both unbeaten and have big time talent.  Another interesting thing is they are training partners.

1) Gregor Gillespie 155 lbs. (4-0....4 1st rd stoppages)  Was a 4 Time All American and D1 National Champion wrestler.  Interesting story and has a similar buzz of dominance like Chris Weidman had a few years ago when he was 4-0 as a Ring Of Combat fighter from Long Island before getting his UFC call.  Gregor trains with Keith Trimble at Bellmore Kickoxing/MMA around guys like Costas Philippou, Ryan LaFlare, Dennis Burmudez, World Champion Boxer Chris Algieri and many others.  Great talent, great coaching...I believe he could make a big noise sooner than later despite only having 4 fights.

2)  One of the others Gillespie trains with is his training partner undefeated 145 lber Andre Harrison Former Ring Of Combat Champion now in Titan FC.  Andre was 6-0 as an amateur and is currently 8-0 as a professional. He was a 2X All American D2 wrestler and is a physical specimen who is athletic, big and strong for that weight class.  Andre is fighting 17-3 Cody Bollinger March 20th in Titan 33. Keep an eye on him and Gillespie.   (Recent videos below)

It could be either. Sakara had potential but did not use it all the time.

Another great prospect to come from M-1 that the UFC should pursue is Pavel Vitruk.  A product of the Alexander Nevsky Gym in St. Petersburg, Russia; the 24 year old Ukrainian boasts a 12-1 record, with his only loss coming at the hands of another featherweight prospect in Max Coga.

Here is his a video of Pavel Vitruk's 1st round victory over Clayton Santos at M-1 Challenge 46:

Doesn't have the best record but wish the UFC would pick up Kostantin Gluhov.  he could add some excitement to the HWY divsition.

Khalidov is 34 so it's now or never for him.

Vasilevsky is ready to be there too.

Marc Diakiese is only 22 and is a complete MMA fighter. Really solid fighter.

@Lopati  Unless the UFC knows of some magic buyout clause to that KSW contract, I highly doubt Khalidov will ever leave KSW.  Personally, I hope Bedorf and Materla can escape KSW's grip and fight in the states; but even their chances of getting into the UFC are slim, since they also are under restrictive contracts.

I do think the UFC have a decent shot to sign Vasilevsky, but who knows.

O_O

Wow that guy has some amazing strength for his size.  Reminds me a bit of Khabib (in terms of the way he ragdoll tosses opponents).

@mmawizzard  He would be a solid fighter for any one of the big 3 US MMA Promotions to sign.  I could easily see him challenge for a major title within the next 2 or 3 years.  But the UFC should definitely snap him up, before Bellator uses their connections with BAMMA to lock him down.

@rappinpapsoda

This is a bit old news from January this year, but interesting read if you haven't read this article yet:

http://www.mmafighting.com/2015/1/27/7856003/one-of-the-saddest-stories-in-mma-where-has-former-bellator-standout

About Gregor Gillespie. I've seen all of his MMA fights and he has impressed me a lot with every fight. His next fight shows so much more where he stands at this stage of his career, George Sheppard is the best fighter he has faced in his young MMA career. If he just runs through Sheppard, UFC should sign him immediately.

I'll throw in my countryman, Aleksi Nurminen. So far his career, after his IMMAF win last summer, has being planned very carefully. In his next fight he is supposed to have big step-up in competition, opponent haven't been released yet.

Also I'll throw in this conversation a fighter who only has 2 ammy fights so far, Clayton Carpenter. I'm very excited to see how this 18-year old fighter's career will evolve.

@alienator13 That article is so sad.  Khasbulaev deserved better than that.  I hope goes to the UFC.

Tom Aspinall seems like a promising Heavyweight prospect out of the UK.  He has a 3-0 record (He went 5-0 as an amateur), with 2 Submissions and 1 KO.

Here is a video of him submitting Ricky King at BAMMA 18.
