Can't say I completely hate it, and I understand why they are doing it, (probably hard to get former tournament winners to do another one), but it definitely is yet another big change they've made. Just another step till they eliminate the tournament altogether???

Though he IS the baddest hobbit on the planet and he has a win over Owen Evinger in the division since he brutally lost his title via 40 seconds of constant pounding of the head, so I guess it'd be a justified shot ;)

Winner of that fight (obviously Tito) faces Alexander Shlemenko. Also Shlemenko will be handcuffed. Also kickboxing-only rules apply to Shlemenko. Also Shlemenko must be murdered the night prior, and so after the fight Tito must literally dig a grave for Shlemenko. Also Bellator is the ****.

I think is good that they keep their champions busy if the tournament winner gets injured, but that also leaves the door open for making more stupid matches when things don't go the way they want.
Bjorn and Dana should fight at fatwieght and rid us from their stupidity and making silly matches.

Basically, if they want someone with name recognition (King Mo) to be a perennial title contender, they feed him two cans in a four-man tourney and he's gainfully employed with "feature fights" and title shots for the next several years.

Regardless if it was because of a stipulation with the Alvarez contract,they still set a precedent for this before acknowledging a change in their format. That just goes to show how much Viacom wanted the Chandler/Alvarez II fight.
