Rick is a good fighter (and at one point, followed me on Twitter) but rising young fighter Kelvin Gastelum will grind this one out with a Decision victory.

I think the wrestling will cancel out and Gastelum will edge it out in the striking but could go either way.

Just as excited for this fight as i am for the main card ones.

I think Gastelum wins a clear victory here. Story is good when he can bully people but Kelvin has the aggression with explosive striking and takedowns to throw him off.

Rick "The Horror" Story is in a must win battle here to continue his career. I really think Gastelum can win this fight though. Story looked terrible in recent fights.

I counted Gastelum out a bunch of times during TUF and against Hall, I think I'm going to go with him in this one.

I had Kelvin all the way until yesterday when I saw him at the weigh ins. It wasn't just that he missed weight it was his whole demeanor. Story always brings it and he looked awesome against Ebersole. Didn't want to but had to change my pick.

I wasn't really worried about Kelvin being the smaller guy as he proved on TUF he could handle that. He was the smaller guy (and most inexperienced) guy and still won all his fights. His body language and facial expressions screamed a lack of confidence and on the other hand Story as usual looked like he was ready right then and there.

Also Kelvin does not strike me as someone who would ever miss weight. He's a complete pro and the fact that he did tells me something is up, maybe an injury of some sort.

Well the guys he beat on TUF.sucked and Story doesn't suck. Even Hall lost  Doomsday another.WW....Story.bullies guys and uses his size very well. Story 29-28. Kelvin.proved he can beat non UFC caliber MWs...what WW cant do that?

Story tossed Gastelums salad in round.2 and took his back in the third, the decision.was correct.gut Gastelum has a lot longer to go than I thought. I'd like to see Gastelum vs Amagov or Thatch  to be honest, seeif he can beat big athletic freaks or not and to see just how dominant a prospect Thatch/Amagov are. Story should fight Akmedov

Nah, Gastelum was completely outclassing Story everywhere until he started gassing (maybe bad cardio, maybe bad weight cut) and only then started to catch him a bit.

The difference between how Gastelum looked physically on his first fight at 170 and this one was crazy.

This^ Gastelum would have finished Story.

Something was going on there. Doesn't look like he had a solid camp, he was very "soft", and still looked way faster and more technically sound than Story,

Prediction: wrong Story   wrong Decision

A Story on his way out isn't much to boast about all excuses aside whether legitimate or not, Story will probably be cut in the next.8 months and then go onto lose in.Bellator or WSOF...Story isn't what he once was. Still took Gastelum to a split decision and almost knocked him the **** out badly and took his back...Story hasn't ever taken somebody's back before.

Gastelum is small and if he gets folded by a Thatch/Mein/Amagov sized cat everyone.will parrot the drop to.155 like they.thought of it....Hell Rogan will be the first to.

Maybe Gunnar vs Gastelum and Bermudez.vs.Conor for Ireland?

Win over story is still good, especially when Kelvin is barely hitting his stride. That being said, Rick is significantly more experienced. After this performance, I think Thatch would finish kelvin pretty easly, I'd hate to say..

You can't say that after just one fight @DelRose. I think he's a nightmare matchup for Thatch. Bigger, stronger wrestler you can strike, has power, and is quick, has great cardio, has a great rear naked, and is still very young.

Thatch Vs KG would be a nice fight , I think Thatch would win probably by 2nd rd ko but can't count Gastelum out by any means. The kid is for real in my opinion
