That looks like an easy way to get up votes. I bet Bill wishes he thought of it first.

It was deffinetly a close fight, I knew it would be, but I also felt like those Thomson controlled  20 minutes of that fight...but I'm not a judge so what I do I know

Close fights don't excuse bad decisions, I thought.Thomson easily won rounds.1 and 2 the other three were.much close but.I think I had.it 49-46 Thomson.

I said it the event's thread, but since you started this one, here is is again :)

1 & 4 - Thomson
3 & 5 - Bendo

2, I think Bendo edged but would understand Thomson getting it.

Either way, people need to start learning the difference between a fight where one fighter won his rounds more decisively than the other guy won his (giving the sense of him dominating) and robbery (the word is thrown around a bit too much).

The way I see it, 1,3,4 & 5 we pretty much called the same my 90% of the people and since round 2 is debatable, it's no robbery. The reason for the outcry is usually because one fighter looked like he was winning because he won his rounds in a more dominant fashion or because everyone hates the other guy. That doesn't change the fact that he almost unanimously lost 2 rounds.

Within the current scoring system, this was a good decision, not popular, but good (as would giving Thomson the nod, due to round 2 being so close).

I don't think it was a robbery. It was close, I thought Josh won but Bendo just really brings out my inner hater.

With that I agree ... I felt that Bendo's karmic debt + Josh's heart and career story had to finally turn things around ... you wouldn't find me crying any tears if Bendo lost this one :)

Josh 1,2,4

Close fight sure but one judge clearly is an incompetent, I can't see how anybody saw Bendo win 4 rounds. You could make an argument that Bendo won the second, no problem, but that score was embarrassing. Bendo should be 1-3 in his last 4. I'm a fan of the guy but fair is fair.

Bendo hasn't finished a fight in the UFC. He consistently wins by horrible judging.

The round that was most in question for me was 4. I felt Bendo controlled the fight for almost 4 min in the clinch and with his striking, but Thomson took his back for the last 80-90 seconds of the round. So the question is what counts as more.

I gave Bendo that round along with 3 and 5. Maybe if Thomson got a legit choke attempt, I would give him the round.

Thomson clearly won round 1 and 2. I'd even say that in Thomson's two rounds, he did more than Bendo did in the other 2 rounds I gave him. That 5th was also really close too.

Close fight, but I gave it to Bendo on the slightest of margins. So close, that I'm not gonna argue my point. Seems the point of this thread is opinion based, so that's what was going through my head when I scored the fight.

The fact that one judge called it a 49-46 for Henderson has to make you wonder if they're watching the same fight though. I had Thomson winning 1 and 2 decisively, 4th by a smaller margin and thought the 5th was very close. The only round I saw Henderson winning decisively was the 3rd.

I don't have a huge problem with that in this specific fight. Look at what we're saying. All of us are giving Bendo 2 rounds and we're disagreeing on the one round. Like I said 4 to Bendo, but close. Yoss said 2 to Bendo, but close.

So theoretically, that one judge could have given Benderson 2-5. Which isn't that big of a deal. Rounds 2, 4 and 5 were very close.

I'm just making sense of it all. Bendo did not deserve 4 rounds, but when you think about it, it's not THAT bad.

Like I had said in a post in the other discussion thread, any score from 49-46 Thomson to 49-46 Henderson is defensible. Pretty much everyone agrees that Thomson won round 1 and Benson won round 3. Every other round is debatable. Personally, I thought it was a draw, but all 3 scores the judges gave were fine with me. If you take a look at the scorecards, every judge gave round 1 to Thomson and round 3 to Benson.

I had Thomson winning 1, 2 and 4 with 5 going either way. I without a doubt think Josh won that fight and 49 - 46 for Bendo is a god damn joke. I now know how all the people who had Bendo beating Edgar and Gil feel.
