Im just curious to see everyone's IMO's on Jones. If he sweeps the division, what do yall think his odds are against Velasquez? IMO, I think Jones would do great against him ...Opinions??

i  think jon jones will someday be heavyweight champion. he said he has the perfect dietician to get him to that weight. there was a post just a day or two about JJ. he is kinda unpopular here for some reason. he is my third favorite fighter. i think he would choke out velasquez and outstrike jds. i can see the down arrows coming. lol.

I think a 240# Jon Jones would be very successful at HW...JDS, Cain and Jones would share the belt between them

It will be with them...JDS/Cain/Jones will all beat each other for the belt...they're all too good for one of them to be able to beat the other 2 every time out

@soccerkick-I do love JDS, however his Cardio hasn't been doing much for me to think he could be the champion, compared to a healthy/quick Velasquez Or Scary Bones Jones..Jones is soo damn quick! They've even commented on Jones Size, that he is twice the size of the other LHW's..

IMO I really don't think there is anybody in the lhw division that can give Jones a run for his money. True, his chin has yet to be tested, but if he is quick in and out, it will never be TESTED! :D

@ufcchick his cardio against Carwin was probably due to the 1st round trying to finish and punching himself out a little...He still looked solid against a top HW the rest of the way...And Roy Nelson apparently can't be finished and punching him repeatedly in the head would get tiring after a while!!!

The person that can beat Jones is someone that can take it into round 3, 4, and 5. Bonnar got the better of him in the third round of their fight when he showed signs of fatigue. I'm still holding to the belief that Phil Davis is the one to do it. He doesn't need to win the first 2 rounds, just the last 3. I think he can wear him out against the cage and into the later rounds manage to get the take downs. Give him 2 years.

@soccerkick--trrrrrue him in nelson were both gassed! I'm just ready for the new breeds like Jones to come in and dominate every division.

Watching Jones last fight against Shogun made me feel soo bad for HUA..Thinking to myself, OMG what type of athlete do we have here??

Another thing I would like to point out is JONES reach! Isn't it like 82 inches? Only one of the longest reaches if not the longest reach in the UFC?? CRRRRRAAAZZYY

The guy to beat Jones has to have outstanding wrestling, quick feet, awesome power and speed in his hands and great head movement. I think I just described Rashad Evans. If Jones moved to hw I think the only 2 guys that could beat him would be Brock, JDS and maybe Cain. That's a big maybe. As long as Jon Jones is motivated and keeps his head on straight he will be a very strong force in whatever weight class he chooses.

The reach is scary and he seems to know how to use it at such a young age! Wikipedia says the reach is 84.5" thats insane!!!!

Those athletes are on their way I'm sure...MMA is gonna be even more incredible in the coming years!!

@p4p, I think Lesnar is probably the scariest match up for him out of the ones you listed.

@WOLF- I spoke with him actually for about 10minutes bsing with him right before UFC 114. He was really cool and down to earth type guy. Told him how amazing he was at the age of 22 and that he would become a voice to be heard in the lhw division. He was very humble and thanked me...

Brock is the scariest match up for anyone. Watch any fight with Brock and watch his opponet when they meet in the middle of the octagon before the fight. Every single guy looks at him like holy **** what am I doing here? Almost like back in Mike Tyson's heyday.
