Subject to change based on what Jon Jones shows against Rampage, but I say Gustafsson is the only LHW out there today with a legitimate shot at beating Jones - because of his size.

If you want to match someone up size wise with Jon Jones with a chance to win in a 5 round fight it would be Stephan Bonnar. Extremely durable and one of the few people that look bigger than him. Alexander is about the same height as him but no where close to as solid as him Phil Davis is still the best person to beat him just based on how strong his clinch game is. Gustaffson will be great eventually, but he still has a lot of growing to do.

I think Jones will outstrike Davis so horribly though. I'd probably pick Jones by 1st round KO. And we already saw what Jones can do to Bonnar! ;)

Truthfully, this injury to Davis was probably the best thing that could happen to him because he finally gets the chance to just train instead of worrying about a fight coming up. Davis's striking is not as bad as everyone thinks. He uses his range well with his long frame, doesn't get hit. He also adapts very well throughout the fight if things aren't working for him.

I do think that Davis is a great fighter, and I used to think he'd be a good fight with Jones. But to me, Jones is just lightyears ahead of his whole division.

True, but he had no problem finishing someone who had never even been beaten before. Not only did he beat him but he made him do the stanky leg right before folding him up like a lawn chair, in one of the cleanest KOs in history. So I think that makes up for it.

machida is the biggest threat to jon jones imo...machida bases his whole attack on speed and counters, and jones is as aggressive and wild as anyone...could easily see machida ko jones
