Mir likes to talk and its one of the reasons people either love him or want to see him get destroyed when he fights...I like his brashness and enjoy his fights...Even the Nelson and Cro Cop ones!!!

You liked his fight with Cro Cop o_O....I'll remember this for counter argument purposes :D

If JDS and Mir faced off I feel JDS would destory Mir.

It may have been a boring fight, but it still ended with a great KO...I'm cool with boring fights in all honesty...there's a saying something like "Win this fight and look good next time out"....At the end of the day the Ws and Ls are what matters

Tell that to Jon Fitch ^_^ Also sometimes losing in exciting fashion seems to carry more stock then winning in a boring match in the UFC and Strikeforce (Remember how Rogers got his title shot lol).

Plus Mir spoiled what would have been an all-desicion card. So boo-urns to him.

I like both Mir and JDS, but I think that JDS would dominate Mir on the feet, and Mir wouldn't be able to get JDS to the ground, where he would be most effective.

He sells his fights really well, and I think Mir could have a chance if he can use his strength and weight to push JDS against the cage and work a takedown from there, but otherwise JDS has such insane striking I don't think Mir could beat him standing :\

I think Mir would beat JDS. Standing or wherever the fight goes... Mir has better striking in my opinion and I know im going to get killed for saying that but Franklin McNeil also said that.. And I dont really think Mir talks alot of ******** if you listen to what he says its actually very intelligent and I love listening to him talk and love watching him fight!

Junior's striking is far more technical than Mir's. Mir might hit harder but so does Carwin. Look how that fight played out. I could see the striking looking exactly the same and Mir having a bloody face. When I see Mir fight he seems to be too patient in the octagon and hope to get in the rhythm of things. He seems to give up when he's punished as well and his submissions take awhile to register when he's off his back. It's like when his game plan isn't working well or he's not doing well in the octagon he fades...
That's what I see in Mir but he has soooo much potential to be champ. I just don't see him getting past JDS at all or Cain. I don't think Cain wouldn't use his wrestling to take it to the ground. Mir would only be hoping and praying he does.
You might be a big Mir fan Thiago but that's the only way I see it. I could be wrong and I like Mir a lot as a fighter. He's the black horse that doesn't seem to shine when he needs to.

Well seems I'm outnumbered and I'm also a Mir fan. I love Mir as a fighter, but I can't see him beating Cain or JDS.

I hear JDS has very under rated jits, but I don't know. I think Mir has an edge and I'll agree he'd be submitting JDS before he'd submit Cain.
I think Cain would use his wrestling to over power and technique by Mir if it ever hit the canvas.
