Yeah, every other 185er could do the same **** Anderson does. It's the technique, not the person. Do you even read what you type?

@
CthulhuJones Well you can't read either 'cause I also wrote this: "Munoz was kicked in the back forearm."
Irrelevant to shoulder blocking, shoulder rolling, etc. So that GIF was totally irrelevant...once again...

You're seriously a moron who doesn't understand hypothetical situations or people who speak hypothetically. I'm done interacting with you altogether on this site.

@
CthulhuJones The people that
can use the technique are the most successful strikers. There's a reason why Anderson Silva is the
only effective user of the shoulder roll. It's because he's so gifted.
If he never bothered to learn the shoulder roll he wouldn't be able to be the same striker that he is. But because he's so gifted he was able to.

CthulhuJones I'm a moron? Seriously?
By god. That's what you've gotten out of this entire argument?
You still haven't successfully defended your initial argument by the way. By god.
Hypothetical situations are perfectly fine, but hypothetical situations always fail if they are can be proven wrong by a real thing. Doesn't that a ******* genius to know that.

Are you mad that I proved you wrong, literally every single time you said something?
Awww. Poor you.
You can hold a grudge, I don't care. I don't hold grudges. For all that I know, you could teach me something amazing tomorrow and I'll acknowledge and retain it.
I mean, probably not 'cause I mean c'mon, just look at the **** you've been saying in this thread, but HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING, you could.
See what I did there?

I think the thing about the shoulder roll is you have to have insane reflexes, speed and agility, etc and be a special kind of athlete. I could be wrong, but I see a lot of fighters use it in MMA and they just aren't fast enough but you do see a few who can use it well.

Bernard Hopkins at 48 utilizes the shoulder roll better than most athletes half his age. The main reason in my opinion that the shoulder roll is not an effective defense in MMA is because you can slip 4oz mma gloves through a MUCH smaller opening than you can a boxing glove thus allowing the defense to be far more successful in boxing/kickboxing than mma.
Trying to shoulder roll to block a kick is ignorant, lol.

Bernard Hopkins is a rare athlete, there are very few athletes who have competed and won championships at that age. I think a lot of people try and use the shoulder roll technique but they aren't successful, and that's the problem not anybody can do it. That's why the fighters that can use it and are successful are special athletes.
Mayweather, Toney, etc. People will tell you anybody can do it, this or that, but when it comes down to it look at the fighters who use it with success, they aren't your average fighter. It takes great timing and discipline to learn that.
