Lot of cans on his record, but his level of competition has increased steadily. Idk what this means for his tough test against Yuri Maia on November 9. I would assume it's off.

Even if he's been can crushing, 28 wins at 19 is still impressive. Curious to see how he pans out

Sigh...what a waste of talent. ****abellator.

@Live2wrestle 28 wins at 29 would be impressive, let alone ******* 19.

******* 19 and he's 28-0. Can't think of how that's possible without fighting a bunch of 1-30 guys. Too bad he signed with Bellator.

lol what makes you think Bellator is going to give him "legit" competition? They may treat him like Paul Sass, Cosmo Alexander, Michael Page etc. and feed him journeymen to build him up for a while longer. We won't know crap until he gets into a tourney. Even then it will probably be tailor made for him to easily get to the semi-finals, who knows with the way Bellator does things now.

Well, I certainly don't expect him to face Chandler as his debut fight, of course they have to build him up, I'm expecting him to climb up the ranks and eventually fight decent opponents. Better than the cans he's been crushing

Say what you will about him "can crushing," but being 28-0 and relatively young at 19 means he's got to be somewhat talented at least.

You don't go 15-0 in a single year fighting every 2 or 3 weeks and not be a very good fighter.

He should do fine, so y'all shouldn't be so down on him already.

Well Travis Fulton may have something to say about that. He had had periods of time where he has won 40 consecutive fights and other streaks of 28 wins and 24 wins. Honestly Travis Fulton is not a very good fighter. He's on OK fighter, a low level journeyman, but he's the prime example of it's not how many you beat but who you beat that matters.

It's possible this kid could turn out to be a Renan Barao but he could also be a Jason Reinhardt. Interesting prospect but I'll try to hold judgement until he faces a real opponent.

@blitz I know what you're saying, I'm just busting balls. He has the shiny big W number with the super shiny 0 in the L spot, so I hope Bellator moves him along a bit faster than some of their other guys is all I'm saying. I hope they give him a local fighter with a decent record from whatever Indian Casino town they are fighting in that week for his 1st fight. Then a game opponent or two who has been in a tourney that didn't win it, then if he beats those 2 guys throw him right into a tourney. I agree with you that Bellator should be able to match him up against better competition than he has been facing. Although, I think it is our resident Brasilian poster @vazio who said in another thread about this guy was that some of the guys he had been fighting had much better records than the fight finders were reporting, but I'm not too sure.

nooooo! I mean, I'm ok with being signed to Bellator, but couldn't they at least wait until after the Maia fight? this would prove a lot about his skill level.

I'll try to figure out if the fight is still on, but apparently it's off, since Yuri Maia just signed with M-1 Global, and will make his debut in November.

EDIT: @cal1 I wouldn't say "much better records" since most of those guys are indeed nobodies, but he fought a lot in small events in Santa Catarina, and regional brazilian circuits are not well documented by Sherdog (although recently they are getting a little better at this, regarding south of Brazil). so yeah, I would bet that there are a bunch of guys with wrong records.

Has anybody heard anything about this guy since he beat Poppies Martinez and moved to 30-0? Looked like he could be a potential star in the making and now it's been 6 months since I've heard about him.

Fighting Jordan Parsons on the Halsey/Grove card according to SlongKong. Hope it's true. Awesome fight and test for both.

Parsons wrestled 8th-12th grade, he's 10-1 with his last fight being this KO in Bellator a year ago.  Nice job of holding back on the follow-up shot waiting for the ref to get in there:

He followed Paul Bradley from Minnesota MMA out to Alliance MMA to begin 2014 so he's been training with guys like Bradley, Michael Chandler, Dominick Cruz, Jeremy Stephens, Myles Jury, etc. for about 16 months with only 1 fight and 5 minutes of fight time elapsed since the switch (Tore his meniscus pretty bad in his Bellator debut).  Being only about 25, I'd expect the training changes at Alliance for close to the last year and a half to be evident when comparing how he fights in his upcoming fight to all of the fight videos of him out there before he switched camps and it's not like 10-1 is a bad mark to begin with.  Sounds like a solid matchup.

Thirty fights at age 20 is impressive but he will slow down. No one will ever get as close as Travis Fulton did.
