Polish MMA Thread

Tapology member Halny has started to send us a lot of updates about happenings in Polish MMA.  He's never posted in the forums, but I'm encouraging him to come here and start providing updates on cards and fighters in Poland.  There's a lot going on in that country!

In Poland, the names are different forms in different sentences. It's hard to explain to someone who does not speak Polish.

I would like to correct the names of two events, PLMMA 22 and Battle of Champions.

Emil Różewski -> Emil Rozewski (This is an example of Polish letters, I do not think that was necessary, because in all the foreign media to simply not use them, as well as the Cyrillic)

Mateuszem Smolakiem -> Mateusz Smolak

Remigiusza Szelongiewicza -> Remigiusz Szelongiewicz

As a short word of explanation, it's a case of different noun inflection - in Polish (and for example also in Russian and Czech), the nouns will have different forms in declensions - i.e. "who?" - "Michał", "whose?" -  "Michała", "with whom?" - "z Michałem". In English the noun retains its basic form and its role and behaviour are understood from the context. The only thing that changes in English afaik is the Saxon Genitive... I hope I didn't make it more confusing.

Hey Ron, maybe keep the old spellings as a misspelled option so they will still show up when searched for.

Why are two undefeated prospects fighting eachother in their debut?

Jotko not as good as his record makes him look. I predict he gets cut after his first couple.

Santos is a lay and pray monster, be got this.

A title fight between heavyweight contender Damian Grabowski (18-1) and defending champion Kenny Garner (12-4) will take place November 22 in St. Petersburg at M-1 Challenge 44.

Damian is one of the best fighters in Europe and the best heavyweight in Poland.

If Grabowski win, he plans to go to the UFC.
