I'm surprised there wasn't a baseball thread going, yet... so... here it is!
I normally don't talk too much baseball because I'm a Royals fan, haha.. but they have a chance for the playoffs! 8 games left, and they are 3 games behind. They are playing the Texas Rangers tonight and tomorrow (and defeated them yesterday). The Rangers are 2 games ahead of the Royals and in the wild card race as well. Beating them today and tomorrow would tie them up with them, then give them 6 games against the last place White Sox. It's going to be a close race in the American League.

Six innings in and the Cubs are down 1-0 in the bottom of the 6th. Man this is intense. If the Cubs don't make it past the Wild Card round, this will be the biggest playoff failure among their current roster.

Hopefully the Pirates figure it out. They seem like they are starting to get solid pieces and are slowly reassembling a competitor that could go toe to toe with the Cardinals, Cubs, and Brewers.

Jesus, the Red Sox absolutely curb checked the Yankees last night in Game 3 after David Price's mental meltdown in Game 2. A large part of that has to do with Severino not getting a full workout in and Aaron Boone being a complete dunce as a manager, but still. I hope the Sox can get the final victory in Game 4.
