most of it is cool to me, specially Alcantara vs. Jabouin and Faber vs. McDonald, but... McGregor vs. Siler makes no sense. and Holloway would destroy Nam Phan, as would Brandão destroy Gamburyan.

@Vazio- So who should Conor fight? Siler is 5-1 in the UFC with a KO over a former WEC champion, I think it makes sense. As for Holloway, he is 21 years old and should be given fights like those to keep him around and improving each fight. You can't expect Holloway to fight top 20 guys and survive as he develops. As for Brandao, Manny is a big name fight for him and you don't know if he'll win yet. Brandao gassed heavily and Manny has been through the ringer and has gone against tough guys, I don't see why it wouldn't make sense.

Hopefully they put that on the end of the year card with Weidman/Silva, Rousey/Tate, and Wanderlei/Sonnen. That card would be epic.

@sreimuth don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Siler, but out of those 5 wins, 2 of them have been cut already, Clopton is 0-2 in the UFC, and I wouldn't be surprised if Miller got cut monday... so today was his real breakthrough, Conor deserves a clear top 20, maybe Bermudez or someone higher up, a real test.

I agree that Manny is still a big name for Brandão, but his last fights have been big letdowns for me. beating Miller and Omigawa does not make you a top 20, in my opnion, which Brandão clearly is. As for Holloway, I just think he would steamroll Nam Phan, whose place in UFC is still debatable, but then again, Holloway is in dire need of an easy fight, so I wouldn't be too mad about that.

I think Browne should fight Miocic and Brown should fight the winner of Condit/Kampmann or Rory.

I understand that Siler hasn't faced the cream of the crop, but in terms of fights for Conor, Siler fits his game perfectly and I think it would be a good fight. Bermudez fight could happen, just as long as Conor isn't seriously injured. I do think Siler is a step up from Brimage and Holloway though.

@Juniorot7- That would be a long time for Faber to sit. He likes to fight, let him fight McDonald.

Yeah, McDonald really impressed me tonight, as did Faber, which is something I'm used to. That would be a great fight.

I say no to the Faber/McDonald fight simply because Faber/McDonald/Cruz/Barao are the only guys gonna be in contention until the UFC can sign Moraes or somebody else. There's those 4 guys, and then everybody else at Bantamweight in the UFC. I know Wineland's fighting Barao soon, but I don't expect Barao to need to go past the 2nd round with Wineland (though I do really like Wineland). I would much rather see Faber/Assuncao (4-fight win streak, FightMatrix ranked 4th, and UFC ranked 6th in their official fighter rankings). Let McDonald get a little more experience and grow as a fighter a little more. I say give him Dillishaw and see how he deals with a less skilled, less experienced, less explosive version of Faber. By then there should be some clarity on the Barao/Wineland vs. Cruz and the Faber/Assuncao situation would be working itself out. I think ensuring that there are possible legitimate contenders outside of Faber/McDonald/Cruz/Barao is very important.

Assuncao is scheduled to fight Dillashaw and Faber has fought Rapheal already and dominated him. No need for a rematch. But if Dillashaw wasn't booked, McDonald would be a great fight for him.

I did not know they had booked that fight. Damn. Though I agree with the sentiment that Assuncao has already lost, it was in the WEC at 145 well over 3 years ago, so if the Dillashaw fight hadn't been scheduled I'd still be up for it. I really just don't know how else to keep the division from totally stagnating. I just can't see anybody beating the trifecta of Barao/McDonald/Faber until Cruz gets back, and even then Cruz will need to be sharper than he's ever been to take on a guy like Barao; which I'm just not sure he can do after a 2-year recovery period for a knee injury.

Matt Brown deserves the Condit/Kampmann winner. Although Lawler would be a more favorable style matchup, Carlos or Martin have a more solidified ranking and a more diverse skillset that would help legitimize Brown's standing.

Same goes for Bermudez over Siler for Conor. Personally I wanted to see Conor vs. Diego on this card. I fully buy into Conor's hype and would love to see him vs. either Cub Swanson or Edgar even though I realize he doesn't "deserve" either as far as rankings from the pure sport perspective. That's what makes MMA better than sports.

Speaking from a competitive sports perspective, Chael just ****** up the LHW (and possibly MW) rankings all to hell.

I think Brown should get the Condit winner honestly.

Browne should get Stipe for #1 contender.

And Chael should fight Belfort at 205.  Wandy if he wants it, but I have a feeling he is still gonna bs around the fight.
