Weidman defeated both Bader and Phil Davis in collegiate wrestling match and has dominated most of his fights.  Could we see him moving up quickly and facing top 15 competition soon? Maybe the loser of Leben/Wanderlei? someone like that?  I'm excited to see him move up in the division that has grown kinda stale.

Sonnen has 4 of his 11 losses via triangle choke...If he hasn't learned it yet I doubt he does!

Yeh I dont think Miller would sub Weidman at all because as mentioned before he trains with that ******* legend matt serra who i hope to see fighting soon aswell.. I think Weidman would win by decision.. I definetly see him being mw champ sometime in the near future.

lol mmapicker i think youre jumping on the hype train a little too hard. he beat sakara who has no wrestling and thesub on bongfelt was pretty much a flash sub. two good wins but they are fights he shouldve won.

this is how it always is with young prospects. two wins and everyone says hes the future champ. once he loses everyone will be saying how they knew he was overrated and hes a future gatekeeper.

put him up against someone like dan miller, right now, and your view on him will be questioned.

oh and to rate someone on how they did against someone in college is silly. Cole Konrad beat Cain in college. Do you think he would now? No. Chris Weidman beat Ryan Bader and Phil Davis in college. Would he now? No.

No **** he should've won those fights and he did....and I never said he's gonna be the future champ... that was someone else...Pay attention I said... "Dan Miller WILL LOSE to Weidman".... I don't need to explain to you why, but If they ever do match up and I hope they do soon, so Miller can lose and than I can say "I told you so." That pick is sooooo easy if you have any doubt in Miller I wouldn't say that he could beat Weidman, because I am 100% sure that Weidman would put a beating on him for three rounds GnP. 30-26 Decision.... Miller is tough, but not tough enough for this match up. =) You make too many assumptions man, You just need to kick back and relax, because your way off... but hey thats your opinion... but remember mine when Weidman whoops that ass.

I was the one who said he's the future MW champ! I guess I've drank the Kool-aid a little earlier then normal, but I feel Serra-Longo are gonna bring him up correctly and not just throw him against a top guy too soon

show me where i said anything about who would win. i said your oppinion on weidman might change a little after the fight because miller is tough. did i say miller would beat weidman? did i say weidman would beat miller? show me where i assume anything. miller is tough, you admitted to that, thats pretty much all i said.

I don't believe Weidman will be undefeated when he gets to the title...I think a loss is gonna help the kid mature and become a much better fighter

Only person too skilled for a loss right now might be GSP at 170...Weidman will get beat by the first top 10 guy he fights who has some sort of ground game

He looks good so far and Serra said he's been talkin about him for a long time. He might have that IT factor.

i don't want to take anything away from the guy he has looked pretty good, and i could easily see him crackin the top 10 with a couple good wins. my only question is the whole "he beat bader and davis" thing, i don't know the details but when the ufc guys say something like that but they don't give any details it smacks of "nelson beat mir in a grappling match"

so if anyone could tell me, did he beat them in the ncaa tourney? was he a sr. and they were freshman? i'm not accusing, i just don't trust the hype machine anymore
