I think this fight is a little forced considering Nelson should be waiting for a contender fight, but if Stefan Struve can knock out Stipe Miocic Roy Nelson will certainly clear his sinuses.

After watching what Stefan Struve did to Miocic, and knowing what Nelson is capable of, this can only end badly for Miocic.

Prediction: correct Miocic   correct Decision  

Huge fan of Stipe Miocic, one of my favorites. But it is very hard to pick him here. I think overall striking is in Stipe's favor. But Nelson has too much power.

I see another first round KO win for Big Country. I feel bad for Miocic, he would have most likely beaten his original opponent Soa Palelei.

Huge step up in competition for Miocic. I really like him, he has a ton of potential to be a really good fighter, but I don't think he can beat Nelson.

This should be another big first round KO win for Nelson.

I wrote this before this thread was made, but I'll repost it here.

I see this as being an easy KO for Nelson, I mean, Miocic could maybe outpoint Nelson for a round, but he can't beat Nelson in the clinch, can't damage him without receiving punishment as well and can't make him retreat (why would you retreat from jabs/tentative combinations if you are looking for the clinch?). Also, Nelson's fight IQ is enough to make Stipe run into a right overhand as soon as his back is to the cage, and Nelson being his opponent, I expect him to be in that position several times during the fight. Miocic's speed is really good and he throws some beautiful combinations, but if he commits too much I see Nelson scoring a takedown and GnPing him to death.

Stipe is a good prospect but needs to work on pacing himself. He was winning the striking against Struve until he started getting tired and Struve is not the striker Nelson is. Stipe is not ready for this fight. Why would the UFC put him in against a higher ranked opponent than the guy he just lost to? This is a sacrifice that doesn't need to be made.

I want to see "Big Country" and Mark Hunt. That would be an awesome slug fest both have heavy hands and chins like "Tank Armor". Bad thing is they would probably catch each other with a big punch at the same time and knock each others heads into the rafters.

Miocic Is coming off of his first loss, a knockout lost to Stefan Struve. I do not know how he is going to rebound from that loss. This should be interesting I wonder if he is going to try to stand with big country. Miocic has good boxing & some wrestling but I do not see him getting big country down. Big Country has good takedown defense and I think he will keep it on his feet and get the knock out and in rd 1 or 2. But I am worried about his cardio. If he survives the onslaught of Big Country & takes Roy into the second and third round I'm wondering how Roy keeps up. But I think Roy would catch him & put him to sleep in the first round.

Watched the countdown ... I seriously wish Big Country would lay off the title shots talk until he beats someone worthy of title contention.

In his fights vs. anyone in the top 10 he didn't just lose, he was seriously outclassed (namely, Mur, JDS & Werdum).

While you're knocking out people who aren't at your level don't be asking for Cain Velasquez. Ask for Overeem, ask for Bigfoot, as for JDS/Mir/Werdum rematchs ... don't turn down a fight with JDS (he was offered to fill in before Hunt and turned it down). Little tip: Stipe Miocic ain't that guy to push you into a title shot even if you knock him silly in 15 seconds.

That being said ... Big Country, KO, 1st round.
