Prediction: wrong Hardy wrong Decision

People in this thread seem to be basing things in this fight too much on records and such. Anything can happen in a fight and just because Lytle has never been knocked out(besides doctor stoppages) doesn't mean that he is immune to being knocked out, anyone can be knocked out any time. Just ask Hardy, he had never lost by knockout prior to the Condit fight. Before that fight people said that Hardy had a granite chin, then after he got knocked out once everyone is acting like he has a Chuck Liddell chin. Your chin doesn't fade after one knockout, (unless you're Jonathan Goulet but thats besides the point haha). Hardy still has a hell of a chin, as does Lytle, which is why i don't see a knockout in this fight. I could see Hardy at some point taking this fight to the clinch and throwing in some knees and dirty boxing like what we saw in the Mike Swick fight, i see this fight turning out a lot like the Swick fight except with Lytle giving quite a bit more fight than Swick. Im sticking with Hardy by decision.

Seems like a pretty easy win for Lytle if he uses his ground game. If he stands with Hardy then Hardy might actually save himself from getting cut. Im completely undecided on this fight right now because i have no idea what Lytle's gameplan is going to be and the fight rides completely on that.

It makes analysing fights fun ^_^ Your right in saying "Anything can happen in a fight" (Matt Serra vs GSP I is the ultimate proof) but if I kept thinking like that, I wouldn't debate or put my opinions on fights, which would make picking them less fun to me.

True i get what you're saying man haha, im just saying that just because Lytle never been out cold doesn't mean that he's never going too, just like you said GSP vs. Serra is the ultimate proof haha! Truth is, we'll never know whats going to happen in a fight until we actually see it happen, but im just expecting this to be a good fight regardless of who wins!

Hard to go against "The Outlaw" in this fight, one more L and I think he's done in the UFC, and I think he feels the heat and will be very game for this fight.

After seeing the way Ebersole confused the **** of Lytle, I have a feeling he is going to be out for blood in this fight. I see a standup war that should go to decision. Still undecided on the winner, but leaning towards Hardy as of now.

I can't believe Hardy gets to be the main event after a 3 fight losing streak, and just because of that I am picking Lytle to win this.

Lytle also has never been finished (not counting cuts), so as long as he gets this to the ground he should have no problem getting a decision.

I would much rather see Hardy vs Lyte over most main event fights. Two guys who will go for broke in the striking department.

It's going to be a great fight no matter which way it goes, and while I really like both fighters, I've got to go with Lytle by 2nd round TKO.

@ thiagosilva - I believe it could be fight of the year. I've haven't seen Lytle or Hardy in a boring fight yet. With the exception of Hardy vs. Johnson. Sorry just didn't care for that fight.
