EA Sports UFC thread.

I know there are obviously a ton of people on here that are excited for this game, and with some big gaming 'dates' coming within the next few months, we will probably be hearing some legit news about this game soon. I will update this thread as regularly as possible, if you guys find some cool stuff about it, post away! I know there is a video game thread but I don't wanna totally flood that thread with just stuff about the UFC game, so I will just make a thread dedicated to it.

 

Also, EA just launched an official website for the game recently .. today. So that must mean something is coming soon.

Playing 2K's basketball games has raised the bar so much imo for other commentary in sports games. It's amazing. They'll be talking about the history of a team or something along those lines, and while doing that someone will get a crazy dunk or something. After the dunk they will get excited and discuss the dunk and even the first time they ever saw that type of dunk ever pulled off, afterwards they will say "Alright so back to ____." and begin to talk about what they were talking about BEFORE the dunk happened. It flows sooo well. 

Im so stoked for this to come out. The THQ ground controls are awful and the shellacking ones character can take is ridiculous. EA MMA was the perfect game with very little room for spammers. You would only get the Jazz Hands parry spammers and the body hook spammers.

LOL was that a joke? Undisputed 3 while nowhere near a perfect game blew EA MMA out of the water in almost everything.

EA does great things with sports games. My main concern is that the game wasn't very fluid. Neither of them.

I would have rather seen 2K Sports take the reigns of the UFC games than EA.

2K makes a great NBA game, but their NFL game didn't have **** on Madden. Even though EA's baseball game was only for college (or at least it used to be, I haven't played a baseball game in years), the controls were so much better than 2K's.

EA seems to have better resources too, not that 2K can't replicate that. However, if I was to pick who would make a better game just with the info we have now, I'd pick EA. But just my opinion.

I wasn't a fan of EA Sports MMA (though, I'm sure they are going to greatly improve from they did in that game and improve on what UFC Undisputed was as well).

But, 2K picked up the WWE games. It'll be interesting to see how they do with that. 

I still remember that EA said MMA was not a real sport and Dana said that any fighter who signs with EA Sports to be in their game would never be allowed in the UFC. I guess Dana and the UFC don't grudge over that anymore (it's amazing how money will change the idea of two companies), but that whole thing turned me off to the idea of EA making a UFC game.

...Yes, I'll still probably buy it when it comes out, though.

I totally get why someone who cherry picks at a 58% clip wouldn't understand the name, also makes sense why you thought such a flawed game was "perfect".

Cherry Picks? You mean pick only the fights that I actually watch or am educated on? I'm sorry that I don't live on here and base my quality of life off of other peoples acheivements that they have worked so hard for. You are so awesome at picking the outcome of fights between Two Individuals that you have a nice little digital Black Belt. Sounds like someone is a little hurt that they don't have the guts to get into the ring/cage or roll on a mat, so you have to give yourself kicks by thinking youre an MMA Expert.

I've been watching MMA since UFC 1 and am 28 years old. If you are anywhere near my age or over and YOU STILL ACT LIKE A KID, you should re-evaluate your life as a whole.

Oh and if you have Aspergers I apologize.

The UFC is at the point where it would be stupid to let a grudge interfere with business. I mean, they are experiencing it on the other end with the culinary union.

MikeLovesTacos XD for once is 100% right. If you pay attention to the fine details of sports games, NBA 2K13 is ******* amazing. It's the only sports game that I force myself to hear the commentary for (instead of blasting music) 'cause the commentary is so amazing and different.

Do a one man alley-oop off the glass or a buzzer beater and hear the reaction, it feels so real.

The EA SPORTS UFC official Facebook page just announced that tomorrow the first OFFICIAL news on the game will come out. Now, I fully expect this to be some ******** like 'It's dropping in 2014!' even though it's already announced and quite obvious .. but hey, you never know.

They'll announce that it comes out next year, and introduce the next wave of action figures.

I really hope its something that actually SOMEWHAT relevant to the game. Since it's EA, I expect them to announce a pre-order bonus. A pre-order bonus that gives you all the champions and the top 5 contenders of each division. If you don't pre-order, you cant play as them.. Wouldn't put it past EA.

I am still pissed prime George Foreman was some Dr Pepper exclusive for Fight Night Champion.. If you didn't get the Dr Pepper code within like 3 weeks of launch, you can never play as prime George Foreman.. ***.

Does EA really have DLCs that exclusive? God damn! Had no idea.

 Tomorrow is some XBOX conference, so something tells me it might be something exclusive to the XBOX version of the game over the Playstation one? Personally, I want something FROM the game. Some screenshots, anything. I wanna see how it's gonna look. Hope the announcement isn't something totally useless.

It's also the call of duty ghosts reveal, so I'm guessing we will see some actual footage
