The thing i think of most about those fighters isn't who they are, but how long ago they happened.... Those fights took place during 2007-2009 (4-6 years ago). I don't think Shields is any worse of a fighter, it's just the MMA and the fighters coming into it have evolved drastically. I'd like to see Shields progressively work his way up again, perhaps a fight with the Alves/Brown winner makes the most sense. Alves can strike and has decent TDD and Brown has cardio for days, both would test Jake in area's he needs it the most right now.
