Shields has got this thing! I think that Jake can beat Woodley on the ground, but not in the striking, but I'm certainly positive that if Jake can take Kammpmann down, he can take Woodley down!

Ellenberger all over again? If you mean Woodly will get the KO? Perhaps. However if you mean in the manner that Ellenberger did, I find this doubtful. Woodly is very different then Ellenberger Woodly striking is crap next to Ellenburgers. He just has an over hand right. He is very predictable. Ellenberger throws combination straight punches. He also throws a lot of knees. The reason he was able to get the KO the way he did was because of his dynamic striking that Woodly just does not have.

If he hesitates or wavers in his aggression, it will be anyone's game. Jake doesn't have much of a stand-up game, but he can defend with his hands up and win this fight.
Again, it will depend on how much Jake wants this. His recent career is shaky and he needs this win to regain traction and get back on track. Can't go along with the house on this one.

This is a harder fight to call than people are making it out to be.
I can see Shields getting cut if he loses this fight.
This is more of a fight where the UFC wants to see where Woodley is in the welterweight rankings and where they want to see if Shields still has it in him to beat up and coming fighters.

Jake should also consider rethinking his style and go in for more effective stand-up and kicks. If he loses this one, especially in lackluster style, he will be in dire jeopardy to stay in the UFC.
He's come a LONG way from that day in Strikeforce where Dana threw his arms around him and said, "He's mine!"
When Jake first came over to the UFC, his contract called for $80,000 to show and another $80,000 if he won.
So, he's getting $160,000 for a win. That compares to Jon Fitch, who got cut, while his salary was only $60,000 to show and another $60,000 to win.
