@GreenHornet553, I didn't know there was a new Hearts of Iron game. I'll have to check it out. Did you play Hearts of Iron 3?

@GreenHornet553, you should give it a try sometime. I see Hearts of Iron 3 on sale once in a while on steam for around $5. I found it most similar to Victoria II (of those games you listed), except it was a little more focused on production and resources. Politically too, Victoria II has more political reforms - which is representative for the time period, but diplomatic ties are still a major part of Hearts of Iron 3.

I just watch an in-depth trailer on Hearts of Iron 4. The two biggest changes I saw were a higher detailed map (still approx. 15,000 different states/regions) and an easier military and production menus.

Fallout series (especially fallout 3 and up) will pull you in like no other video game ... its proof that tv and movies ain't got sh*t on games... now go watch the fallout lore series (storyteller) on "shoddycast" youtube channel, get fallout 3/new Vegas and be eentertained !

Fuuck. Last time I shut it off I was just starting chapter nine, and I love it. Not gonna lie, I wasn't a fan o the first hour or so. Thought the game was moving along way too slowly, but holy **** have things picked up towards the end. This is the most tense I've ever felt playing a horror game, and I've always loved horror games.

I am still a little bit hesitant in it's replay-ability. I know I big part of the promotion of the game was that everyone can live, or everyone can die. But I'm not sure how much certain characters living and dying will affect the overall story and what you do in it. I'm hopeful that when I begin a second playthrough, which I plan on doing when I finish my first, I do notice some legit differences. Games like the Walking Dead have promised this type of stuff before, and I found that game to have almost zero replay value. So we'll see.

Had no interest in MG5, but it got 10's from both IGN and the notoriously-fickle Gamespot. I'm in.
