I haven't seen it. I'm usually not a huge war movie fan. I'll check it out if I get a chance though. 

Platoon was really good too.

Daniel Day Lewis is excellent in pretty much everything.  I'd recommend checking out these first, and worry about My Left Foot later.

i stopped watching Platoon ln the beginning of the movie when the guy went mad and shot a lady because she was crying while seeing her son get a beating.lol that was enough for me.

I know a lot of people hate it, but I love "Armageddon." Also, "There Will Be Blood" is quite brilliant, albeit long. Had to watch it again in my women's studies film class a year ago and it make me appreciate it all over again. "Nine," not so much. DDL was good in it, but the movie was pretty much a stinkfest.
