Man the wait for this fight is killing me. No matter who wins, I'm just glad this is finally going to happen and put the subject to rest.

This wait is just killing me because I need to see these two guys standing across from each other to even believe this fight's going to happen.  I have tickets to this event and am just anxiously awaiting to hear Nick Diaz's walkout music start playing.  Once I see him walking to the cage I can breathe a sigh of relief and sit back and try to enjoy watching one of my favourite fighters get beat on for 25 minutes.  Here's hoping Diaz can shock the world though!

That's awesome you have tickets to this fight. Diaz will show up. It's his last big payday and then afterward he will get talked about less and less over the coming weeks and months. This fight won't last 25 minutes btw.

It's gonna suck when Diaz gets cut from this fight because of his continued non-sense.  Dana White has already said numerous times recently that he's really close to pulling Diaz from this bout.  I'm not sure what Diaz' deal is that he can't get his head right and do what it takes to make the biggest fight of his career happen, but he needs to pull his head out of his ass and figure **** out.

I will just be SO RELIEVED to have this fight be OVER!  And once it's over, I can then get on with the business of knowing just how relatively good or not Nick really is.

And then, I will sit back and savor Nick fighting the rest of the cast.  I want a Condit rematch with Carlos not running, Hendricks, Sanchez rematch, MacDonald, Koscheck, Kampmann, Lawler rematch, Demian Maia, Jake Ellenberger, etc.

In other words, I want to see Nick fight EVERYBODY!  WAR DIAZ!

I don't think Nick has lost his edge at all. I think there is a colossal jump in talent between the guys he was beating there (Daley, Cyborg, Noons) and guys like Carlos Condit and GSP.

Skelliher makes a good point. Also, that Condit fight was razor close and if you are only going off one fight, that's quite a small sample size. Ring rust is my biggest concern with Nick.

Nick hasn't lost his edge because he never had it to begin with. The guy is nothing but hype. He made a career out of beating up top 30 fighters and due to the complete ignorance of the average MMA fan they deemed him a top ten WW. The only good win the guy has is against  BJ Penn who is a complete joke at WW and we all know it.
GSP dominates this entire fight and gets a TKO victory in either the 3rd or 4th because lets all be real here, Diaz has no chance of even hurting GSP in this fight.

Well you got Robbie Lawler ranked at #8 I seem to remember Nick Diaz putting him on his ass =)

Nick Diaz hasn't lost his edge.  But that will not save him against GSP.  Soon, Nick will take his rightful place in the GSP-defeated club, and the remaining question will be, where he fits in in the UFC WW Shark Tank.

We will all get to savor his fights with Hendricks, MacDonald, Maia, hopefully a Condit rematch, hopefully a Sanchez rematch, Koscheck, Kampmann, Ellenberger, Saffiedine, Kim, Woodley, etc.

Nick is part Simian in his agility.  Sadly, he is also part Simian outside the cage in his disciplines, attitudes and behavior.

He should end up an extremely rich man if he can avoid dumb mistakes.  And he can finally drive around Stockton in a better Honda.

That's very observant of you, but that was 9 years ago.
And Robbie Lawler just beat Josh Koscheck who is better than anybody Nick Diaz has ever beat.

And who is so great that Koscheck beat?

I know you hate Diaz but the guy is a skilled fighter and has beat some good fighters. I think GSP probably win's this fight too but Diaz is a still a threat.

Koscheck hasn't really beat anyone that is all that great.
However wins over Matt Hughes, Mike Pierce, Anthony Johnson are without question better than wins over Cyborg, KJ Noons, and Bj Penn

Edit: Diaz is a skilled fighter for sure but he hasn't beat anyone that makes him deserving of the hype he has.

Nick beat Frank Shamrock and Paul Daley. Nick's win over Lawler was too long ago to still be relevant today.

Kos beat Pierce but many say it was extremely close and Kos should have won better.  Kos also lost to Hendricks but most of us believe he really won that one.

Both Diaz and Kos are still extremely excellent fighters, still in their primes, and a fight between them would be very entertaining and intriguing.  I'd love to see it.

Koscheck is on the downside of his career. Nick Diaz could probably make another title run if he loses to GSP.
