Dude, chill.

I'm not saying he can't beat him, but 10 out of 10 times? The guy's overshot the thin line between confident and dumb by a million miles.

@Stickman, Hioki didn't turn down the fight because he didn't want to fight Aldo, he turned it down because he didn't feel he was at that level just yet ... he was right.

He's a very confident fighter, but his confidence doesn't come from stupidity, it comes from actual knowledge and the ability to critique yourself objectively ...

He just used the wrong words, a bit unfortunate. But I'd watch a rematch for sure...

Lamas vs. Guida? Lamas vs. Koch? He hasn't earned a title shot yet and now that there are enough real contenders (Edgar, Zombie) maybe he should fight Lamas to really earn that shot he's been promised. Maybe even Cub vs. Lamas would put an exclamation mark on each of their claims to the title shot. Cub vs. Koch would also be freaking AWESOME!!!

I think that Edgar and Zombie can be put in there right now, even though, you can argue that I'm a bit bias about Zombie and I wouldn't disagree with you. The rest can fight it out. Don't forget that if Siver beats Yagin we've got us quite a thick "mix" in the FW upper echelon ... who would've thunk? :))

@Mybbygotsauz

"but all he needs is 1/10 times, and i think he has those odds with him."

Well, since he's not going to get 10 cracks at the belt, at 1/10 the odds are definitely not "with him"

Dude can beat Aldo, I doubt it but will happen but will never deny the possibility. I'd say it's more along the line of 1-3/10 times he beats him, still, keeping the odds against him.

Cub may have improved, but Aldo is still much better than him EVERYWHERE the fight goes. Everywhere. So, having a puncher's chance is not having the odds in your favor. It's still a possibility, but the odds are against him big time.

why have people been goin' crazy for Cub Swanson lately? Goddamn, he won't beat Aldo 1 out of 10 times, he won't get another title shot 'cause he's not good enough and self-promotion like this is annoying to hear about.

I ****** love the title of this thread. So fitting. Cub can be top ten, possibly top five. But he is not beating Aldo. That is just ridiculous.

@Condit729 Koch is a pretty dangerous striker, Swanson is legit but Koch sure has a chance to KO him and it's not only a punchers chance.

The 145er division has never been better I believe. Edgar, KZ, Swanson, Koch, Lamas, Mendes, Hioki, Siver, I could see them all challange the champ and then you still have people all over the place who are "in the mix" like Poirier, Oliveira, Bermudez, Dias, Nunes, Lentz, Guida dropping down and a lot of guys I probably still forgot about...

@CONDIT729 2 impressive fighters? You speak like he just knocked out two top 10 guys, no he knocked out the overrated Ross Pearson (not his fault, everyone from TUF after season 7 is overrated) and Charles Oliveira, a ridiculously hyped prospect who obviously isn't as good as everyone thought he was when he first came into the UFC.

That means he should get a title shot? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA thank god you're not running the show.

@Anik if you read my earlier post I said he should have to fight one more top fighter at featherweight  like Lamas or KZ so please read the thread before you start acting like a ****
