I wonder why?  What did the post say?  I wonder if it's for undisclosed reasons and DW just got sick of him.  Last I heard he did an interview saying that MMA was "boring as $hit" or something along those lines.

Glover has been fighting for 10 years and has yet to face a top 10. Ill hold speculation until he fights a legit opponent.

@Mayhem14- I know, I'm a Gustafsson fan. I know who he is fighting. Just thinking it would be a good replacement for the Rio card. Shogun would make it a more sell able card than any one else.

Glover Teixeira’s greatest enemy to date has been access. 

For the last few years, visa problems have kept him out of the UFC. Before he defeated Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 146 to point a sudden “I’m coming” finger at Jon Jones, the last time he’d fought in the States was back in 2008 when he punched out Buckley Acosta.

Basically, the reason this guy hasn't been killing big names at LHW is because he was tied up in a battle for a visa.


Edit: @Sreimuth The Brazilian fans know Glover well. He'll draw a crowd regardless of his opponent in Rio.

I think they'll do ok with PPVs regardless. The rest of the card is good enough to stand on it's own. I think we may wind up seeing Lil Nog step in for Rampage depending on his health. I just really hope they don't put Jimmo against him. Both of those guys have a chance to be the next big thing at LHW (Jimmo/Teixiera).

I still think Shogun vs. Glover is the best thing.
and have Machida vs. Gustafsson on the FOX card for No.1 contender.

Not sure what is up with Lil Nog, hopefully if the Rua and Glover fight happens he either fights versus James Te Huna, Gustafsson or Stephan Bonnar
