@CthulhuJones- I thought it was a solid scenario. Jones/Belfort winner should be ready to fight around January versus Hendo. Then Gustafsson/Machida for No.1 contender a month ahead of the fight, just in case another injury occurs. Plus they could set up the next coaches for TUF Brazil, if Lil Nog beats Bonnar then it could set up Shogun/Glover vs. Lil Nog for TUF coaches and possible No.1 contender. Then so on with Daniel Cormier getting a title shot in the mix. Alot of title challengers at 205.

What Rampage and Janitor as well ? What is going on here ? The right hand of God might try to hinder Silva to KO Fitch at 153.

@CthulhuJones Riddle me this, what did Shogun have to gain from that fight? He wins, he beat some no-namer. He loses, he lost to some no-namer and it's time to retire. Shogun was right not to take the fight with him. As far as I am concerned as of yet, Glover has yet to be tested against top 10 talent. I'm not buying the hype. Shogun would destroy him

Scrub is a strong word, Glover is "untested" in the UFC.

Why do people say losing to someone that is good that doesn't have a name is bad? Look at Diet Nog when he lost to Sokoudjou. He kept on going and had been rated in the Top 10 at LHW for a while after. It doesn't destroy a persons career for 1 loss since they will keep on winning if they are still good.

I agree Wish, though at the same time I don't agree with Lil Nog's top ten LHW ranking considering he was coming off back to back losses before he crushed Tito's insides.
@Mayhem14 The only reason Shogun didn't take the fight with Glover is because he knows Glover is a beast and that if they're going to fight Glover should get a few wins in the UFC first because that fight is bigger than people realize. That's according to Joe Rogan via his podcast with Bryan Callen on 8/29. I agree wholeheartedly.
Edit: @Mayhem14 Explain to me how fighting Brandon Vera who was coming off a win against Eliot Marshall, a no contest to Thiago Silva (originally a UD loss before Silva's piss was dirty), a TKO to Bones, and a UD loss to Couture is somehow better than fighting a guy on a 16 fight win streak?

He also has zero ground game, and complains about being matched up against wrestlers. He's neutralized by being taken down, or clinched against the cage. Rampage now is not Rampage 6 years ago. He can't brute force his way out of positions he doesn't want to be in anymore. Rampage in his prime would have probably put Glover out, but now he'd either get dropped with punches against the cage or dragged down and choked. Glover would have been in the UFC years ago if he hadn't had issues with getting a work visa, so it's not like his lack of talent has been what's kept him fighting in smaller promotions.
