I think as long as Story stays out of the clinch he will win. Maia's only good takedowns are from the clinch

Always rooting for Maia, but if Story uses his wrestling to keep it standing it's gonna be a tough fight for him...

If this goes to the ground in any position... Maia wins... imo. Story is no world beater on the feet either.

@Kalibo Story has never been submitted and I would give him the edge in a stand up fight. Maia can submit anyone but he has to get it on the ground first. Not that easy against a good wrestler like Story...

Maia has had problems with wrestlers that can strike in the past, but his overall submission game is one of the best in all of MMA. This is a tough fight to pick because Story's loss to Brenneman brings a lot of serious questions to light, while Maia's WW debut didn't really showcase how good the move was for him. Yes Maia won against DHK, but it was a win due to injury. I still think that Maia could pull this one out by UD, but then again so could Story.

Story's loss to Brenneman shouldn't be brought up because it was just a bad style match-up for Story.

Story is going to have to avoid using his best tool, wrestling, if he is going to win. From his first fight, it is hard to tell how hard the cut was on Maia but if it slows him down at all and if story has worked a lot on his boxing, I think story could get the ko. If all of those things don't happen then I think Maia gets the decision
