The more events we add, the more information we gather on all the various fighters out there.

@cal1 it's 'cause you're not putting enough of an effort lol, scavenge for info (google, sherdog, the UG) and you'll find it. You could also assume a lot of things for fighters like I do and it helps, here's a couple:

1. if the fighter is black, I assume he's athletic and explosive so I usually go for a round 1 finish (mostly KO).
2. if the fighter is brazilian, I assume that he's got great BJJ so I go for sub or decision.
3. if one fight is very short and the other is very tall, I'll either pick the short one via round 1 finish or the tall one via decision, depending on the division of course. I go tall and decision because I assume he uses his jab really well.
4. Look at the picture, if the guy's got a gi on assume he's good good ground game lol.
5. if the event is in quebec, copy wake99's picks.

those are just a couple of tips if you can't find a guy's record. But you usually do find it, trust me.

Of course Sherdog and UG, because they usually have more accurate and amatuer results, I'm talking about the bouts when its two fighters first ever ammy fight, no pics, etc. I know I don't have to pick them I was just curious what your guys strategies are. @Anik, so your saying stereotyping works? Sweet, black guys via KO and Brazillians by SUB man so simple lol your great. Sorry, I obviously upset some Australians and I apologize

@cal1 yes, my stereotyping has allowed me to do very well in my picks. I'm not trying to be a racist, it's fact. Black people are athletically better than any other race and Brazilians are more than likely to know BJJ since it's part of their culture over there. On TUF Brazil, everyone was a black belt lol.

Also, I almost always pick Asians to win via decision.

And also, you could make educated guesses on what race they are by looking at their names. Just by looking at the list, I could assume that Tien Ngyen is Asian, Joel Oliver is white and Dean Roberts is black. Again, I'm not trying to be discriminatory, I've being very serious.

A strategy I've found myself using is to pick against someone's weaknesses rather than to their strengths (depending on the opponent).  Also American wrestlers by decision.
