I didnt think of a Superfight between the two but that would be epic. Im excited to see what Bones is gonna do next. The only thing I think would be a weakness would be someone with similiar size who packs alot of muscle who can move as quick as him.

I think it would have to be a solid wrestler, several times Shogun had Jones' back on the feet and a strong wrestler would have been able to get Jones to the ground. The biggest problem is Jones size, he is one of if not the strongest LHW and has the longest reach in the organization.

Before the fight I was questioning whether or not Jones was ready. Damn, I was convinced. The only fight that would give me some questions would be Jones and Machida. Machida just has an awkward style. I think Jones would destroy him, but it would still be interesting. Jones and Silva would be fun as long as they stayed standing. However, I think Bones would just take him down and destroy him with GnP.

Jones will become a ledgend and hold that belt for many years to come, the only way anyone in that weight class will ever beat him is if gets a DQ. I can't see Franklin facing him after what the Spider did to him twice. Even if the Spider moved up i do not believe he would las the first round.

I'm in agreement with HavokDM on this one. I think Machida, if his head is on straight, may stand the best chance of all the current LHW's, although I still think he gets KO'd. Cross-promotional (kind of) Dan Henderson would be an interesting matchup. Hendo may be able to avoid the takedown and he's got that cinder block of a right hand. Overall, when Spider moves up, thats the one I want to see.

Phil Davis is the only light heavyweight that I've been thinking could give Jon Jones a run for his money, but not anymore. Jon Jones just continues to evolve like no other fighter and I just can't see any fighter even giving him trouble. He's just destroying everything and making it look easy. Wrestlers hate to be on their back and Phil Davis would most certainly be on his back if Jones doesn't KO him first with his insanely improved striking.

Jones has a lot of crazy strikes on his arsenal and with him starting BJJ now he will be one of the best LHW Champs of all time. No one has been able to successfully defended the LHW title since Chuck and Jones can be at the top of the LHW title holders

Who knows but that's why they fight. Phil Davis is on his way up the rankings and will enter the top 10 with a win over Lil Nog. There are times every fighter looks indestructible until that one moment until they run head first into someone who can beat them. Everyone thought BJ Penn was unbeatable at LW and he was destroying every LW in his path then comes little Frankie Edgar. Frankie wound up beating Penn twice. Silva looked indestructible for a long time and even though he won Chael made him look very human. Even GSP stumbled against Serra, in his long series of Dominance. Jones has yet to stumble but he's young and you never know.

Phil Davis has a chance, he's a great wrestler (maybe better) a solid and improving striker, and has great submissions. I'd love to see that fight in a year or two.

i think phil davis is a safe bet. what about griffin?rampage? and as far as silva vs jones goes that fight is almost similiar silva has more experience than jones but i think jones needs a lot more fights before a superfight would even created to help prove his worth. im just glad they didnt push his development like they did with other new comers.
